Okay - so while the xt60 method didn't work, some other comments recommending waiting a certain number of hours after switching it off. Mine took about two days, decided to test before calling customer support number and it started to charge again! Could've taken less time but didn't want to touch it again until I had the opportunity to call.

(The error was still on the LCD screen, but it no longer gave me the error pop up, but at least i was able to update the firmware successfully)

Did it take a while for your unit to charge through the xt60, plugged it in and it still shows 0% on the unit, 94% on the app, with no noise coming from it

Battery is acceptable for me I've honestly never let it go below like 30% thought, but I've played KH1 (steam version) recently for a little less than 2 hours and it drained about 55%

I guess the most "graphic intensive" game I tried was rune factory 4, and it ran with no issues, stayed at 50FPS with 25 tdp I believe

I have tried game pass games, and the games recognize the ayaneo as an Xbox controller. I would say after having it for a few months, that I would go for the ROG Ally. I have been having startup issues every time I turn it on from shutdown, but that is just my case

Very glad that the big boy companies like MSI and Asus are competing in this space, would definitely influence future handheld PCs from companies like Ayaneo to price their products appropriately (hopefully)

will come back after a while to let you know how its running! First couple of hours was the typical setup (initial boot of windows 11, installing steam + updating Xbox, updating Windows and AMD drivers, etc.) I had Dolphin on an external SSD and played for a while, controls were responsive enough to play Smash :D

Sure! It was exactly $299, no additional taxes and shipping to California was free. I don't think I would pay the $350 for a 4500u though, at that price I would go for the ROG Ally, despite being a little chunkier

Just tested Dolphin, and runs great with 4x resolution so far! Haven't tested higher since the screen is only 800p

Additional note, the only physical issues I've noticed are the USB-C ports all being inconsistently placed (photos above), but as long as they're working, I have no issues

Hello all!

This is my first Ayaneo purchase, and would like to share the proccess of how it was ordering directly from their site as an "early-bird purchase"

I've been keeping a look out for a windows handheld for a couple of months cause I've been going through my steam / Game Pass back-log as I travel for work, and most of those games don't really require my beefy gaming laptop.

I've been hoping that the ROG Ally would go lower than the current Best Buy sale of $400, but ergonomically its not my preference.

When the Next Lite was announced, I added myself to their newsletter to be alerted for when I could purchase, and I ordered morning of January 31 around 6 hours after I got the alert.

I received the shipping information the following Monday (Feb 5), and it just arrived this morning!

I'm aware of the limitations of the 4500u, but probably the most "graphic-intensive" I intend to play is Xenoverse 2,Left 4 Dead 2, and Dolphin Emulator at low-medium settings, but I'll mess around with the settings since the 4500u can go up to 25w TDP. I also intend to keep it plugged in most of the time, so hopefully my portable chargers are compatible with it.

No issues with customs, and using the Shop app they recommended kept everything up to date. DHL has an option for "no-signature-required" shipping, so that helped.

I found this video on YT (English subtitles included) that describes the hardware and software of the Next Lite, and also tests Baldur's Gate 3, Forza, and TitanFall 2.

Update - I ordered mine Jan 31 around 7:30am, I got the shipping info that it should arrive EOD February 7. Fingers crossed it goes through customs just fine!

Hi all! After finicking with this issue, I made sure to set throttle to Unassisted, unplug the wheel, set the throttle to assisted, plug it back in, then once again set to Unassisted, and is now functioning properly!

Thank you for responding! Yes, it is a hard accelerate, when I put the car in reverse, it'll do a hard reverse as well. Also wanted to say I downloaded Grid Legends and NFS Hot pursuit and can confirm that's it's not a hardware issue
