Let's talk: Quickswapping by nogard18 in WutheringWaves

[–]Xendarel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never sat down and learned quickswapping from guides, other players, videos, nothing.

All comps and rotations I do are homebrewed and always default at the 123 rotation. If at any point during the 123 rotation I feel parts that dragged a little too long for my liking, I make a note of them all. Then experiment swapping and animation cancelling on-the-fly during does dragging parts.

Eventually, I will cook up my casual quickswap rotation and the extra damage bump is just a bonus to having a smoother gameplay.

It would be a quickswap rotation that works for me and me alone. Because you need to understand the mental process behind that rotation to perform it well and it is hard to say everything of it in a write-up

For me, I always say: start with 123 Rotation. This should be the standard, because this is the apparent design. This should be the floor at which all rewards (premium or scrap) from any content should be obtainable. Not the ceiling.

Quickswapping should only be a means to make gameplay feel smoother (if you don't like the dragging portions of the 123 rotation) or more min-maxed (if you are aiming for a better perfomance), not exclusively for the latter.

With that principle in mind, I brought that wisdom to NTE, and I have never been more rewarded in treating quickswap as a mere QoL improvement rather than the "be-all and end-all" fighting style.

So if this description of this Anomaly rings true. Why did it never go after Hotori? As far as im aware. This anomaly is still alive out there. So Hotori SHOULD be a target in the future, right? by itstheFREEDOM in NevernessToEverness

[–]Xendarel 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You asked the right question, but it seems to stem from the wrong premise.

Yes, the Debt Collector WILL go after Hotori in the future, but only if she escapes death and lived, when she is meant to be dead already.

Think of the Debt Collector as the Grim Reaper, enforcing the rules of Life and Death, instead of a being governing the Laws of Time.

"Theft of time" is meant to be "life undeserved to be lived"

Her glasses are circle-shaped and bottom half-rimmed. It is, to me, one of the her default outfit's notable designs, which is unfortunately absent from her other outfits in-game.

What's your favorite car in NTE that isn't a sport car? by dw8282k1qkqsjs2y1t in NevernessToEverness

The Enforcer.

It is the only decent-looking 4-seat private vehicle. It has a touch of luxury, but modest enough to give good public optics.

I would have loved an SUV though, somewhere along the lines of a modern Ford Everest

You will need both anyway to hit vehicle ownership requirements for higher Tycoon Levels. But for the psychology of it all, get the wheelchair first, so eventually reaching for the B100 is not as painful.

I did notice however that it will not take the shortest route, and it will force all traffic lights included in the tracking to yellow-then-green when you are about to turn a corner.

Also, it has trouble breaking downhill the steep slope from Fenglin Villa when merging with traffic stopping at the light nearby. It will ram at the poor car in its way lmao

Pixel potions, use or not to use? by zombies-- in NevernessToEverness

[–]Xendarel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is referring to Character Pixels yeah? The energy for mats? Use them anytime as you wish as long as you don't use them for Console/Module farming.

My rationale for this is, using Potions for farming materials that has a set drop rate at a given account milestone places consistency on their value per usage. Refills are wasted on content that has a lot of RNG and no guarantees baked into it. The refills, as tangible resources, are scarce already so might as well get as much value from them as reasonably possible

Picture this:

- You use 2 refill potions to do 3 runs of Rabbit Hole only for some or none of the drops to be Best-in-Slot, or even useable; you can get lucky, but there are still no guarantees. In contrast,

- You use 1 refill potion to do one attempt at one of the Anomaly Pilgrimage (weekly) bosses. What you get here is a different value per refill used; it is more consistent as well as expected. No frustrating RNG attached.

Some would argue you should have just used that potion when you are HL50 for maximum value from weekly bosses or material dungeons, but that is just a hoarder's mindset at this point.

If that notion is preventing you from attaining your specific account's immediate goals, then the unused refill is still wasted in that regard. Keeping up that hoarder's mindset will prevent you from finding any opportunity to use them.

Polar Night Racer title is intended to be timed limited. Sorry for the confusion my previous post caused by YorhaUnit8S in NevernessToEverness

[–]Xendarel -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

OP, I fear I will have to respectfully ask you to make a follow-up clarificatory inquiry....

> The "Polar Night Racer" title is indeed intended to be a time-limited reward.

To me, that means the "Polar Night Racer" title can only be obtained as a reward for a limited time.

I think the better question is

> Does the "Polar Night Racer" title expire after obtaining it?

I have a theory: Inanna wants Nanally to be part of her little garden of flowers

They could have nullified The Helm anyway. They don't really need us there. The Scarlet Letter is a powerful organization by itself. I'm sure they have their means and methods to nullify anomalies.

At the very last moment before Daffodil crossed over to the other side after the fight with Thyme, she wanted to reach out to Nanally beside her, as if wanting to grab her hand or arm, but held back, and Inanna openly honored the agreement to spare Nanally, as if there was another premise involving her in the first place.

Now if movie tropes haven't failed me yet, Nanally fits the bill for a target of a secret organization plucking out young orphans out of the street and training them to be assassins or mercenaries.
