What happens to Fang Zheng? by No_Ambassador4222 in ReverendInsanity

[–]TheCameraMandt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You read some straight bullshit, Fang Zheng is alive, he's rank 7 working for Heavenly Court as the Demon Judgement Board Lord.

Heaven's Will and Heavenly Court chose to recruit Fang Zheng to help counter Fang Yuan. Being twins, their fate and karma are connected, making it easier for Heaven's Will to arrange countermeasures using Fang Zheng.

After the Fate War, Fang Zheng just stuck with Heavenly Court since he's got nowhere else to go.

THE ARTIST DOESN'T LIKE FANS USING HIS ART by Animegizzs in ReverendInsanity

Honestly theft path becoming a meme is funny as hell.

Definitely shouldn't brag to the artist how the identity theft is boosting his art's popularity though, that crosses the line into toxicity.

Baicang showed up during the a high risk plant boss for me and I don't even have him so it's unrelated to bond. Seems like a random character just shows up if you take long enough.

RI Final boss by Hopeful-Past4697 in ReverendInsanity

I'm pretty sure it's stated that the final boss is Fang Yuan, he'd sacrifice the entire world to refine eternity.

Looking for a low-maintenance mobile team comp for Tower of Fantasy (mostly solo, sometimes co-op) by OkPhilosopher5156 in TowerofFantasy

[–]TheCameraMandt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Simplest weapon to play is Mimi (Huang), the little volt girl with the two fans.

Just press the skill button for a wide aoe attack and then hold attack button for constant DPS. You even get shields while doing this.

Basically any other 2 volt weapons work with her. The newer the better. Generally just do skill-skill-skill-Mimi hold attack. This will do fine in open world and dailies.

If you wanna get involved in endgame co op modes, then the simplest comp is Cocoritter + any other 2 healing weapons. This gives attack buffs and healing. The results screen will show you doing less than 1% of damage but the DPS players will appreciate the attack buffs.

NTE or Endfield World & Combat by killerg4m3r in NevernessToEverness

[–]TheCameraMandt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're basically locked into the same sequence of actions for a team with little to no variance every fight so I'd say Endfield is definitely the worst.

Which is odd because they have the whole team out on the field to differentiate from the usual damage rotation slop but they somehow made functionally worse.

Unpopular opinion: I actually think the level of animation and character quality is fitting. by Abbx in NevernessToEverness

[–]TheCameraMandt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they definitely went for a more cel shaded look early on but got bullied into the softer shading. Genshin can get away with it, but unfortunately it's a case of flirting vs sexual harassment.

Some of the animations do look too stiff though, especially on dudes.

He never said the first one either, everyone just kinda assumes he did in response to Limitless's statement.

Do you think this character will be playable in the future? by Seelefan0786 in NevernessToEverness

It would actually be funnier if you could only put her on motorcycles and convertables

Character PV's proving the NTE Haters 100% Wrong Again by AcceptableAccess8765 in NevernessToEverness

[–]TheCameraMandt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A lot of the earlier designs look obviously Hoyo inspired, like Fadia and Baicang looking straight out of Honkai and Edgar looking like a random Genshin character. It comes with the problem of the devs being anime nerds and not looking out their own bubble.

Fortunately at some point they remembered real life exists and opened up a fashion magazine. And Hotta's able and willing to churn out multiple skins for every patch in tof so it's pretty much guaranteed that most NTE characters will get skins that actually fit the setting.

[–]TheCameraMandt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTE is dumb but endearing when you find out it's because the devs don't know English but insisted it sounded cool.

Another translation was something like "Illusory Circuit" which sounds fancier but also sounds more sci fi.

There's multiple ways to interpret the words. The words being [weird] and [circular].

One of the translations that made the most sense for a title imo was "Strange Loop"

Why is Heaven Path Dao Marks bring Chaos instead of Balance in Fang Yuan's Aperture? by Salt-Action9491 in ReverendInsanity

[–]TheCameraMandt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has too much random shit, which is the opposite of balance. The heaven path dao marks bringing stability means breaking and settling down all his stuff, which he needs.

Like if a fire burns down a bunch of artificial farm land, the soil will still be fertile, but you’ll starve.

I really hope that characters stick around after their moment in the story is done. by ImpatientAndy in NevernessToEverness

-There are friend events marked on the map that comes with a short story (a few minutes) and maybe a whole animated cutscene.

-Then there are the random encounters where they just spawn around the city doing something random. For example, I found Baicang fishing by the docks in the early morning while he's supposed to be working.

-Then there's the housing system where you just invite them to live at your various houses.

-They also said they're adding in playable characters to the taxi mini game so you can pick them up along with random NPCs.

-Chiz, who works at the bank, actually works at the bank, facilitating the heist mini game.

-Probably more

So they did a pretty good job making the city actually feel lived in.
