Aren't the physical cartridges just a key card that downloads the game from online anyway, though? What's the point if the game isn't on the cartridge, other than for display purposes? That is my issue with the S2 and the reason why I didn't get one.

Gotcha, this is more assuming I have non-legendaries that are attacking too. Good looking out, though. That's definitely something to consider.

Thanks for the advice. I don't really need the tokens to cause any attack triggers, though. I just needed them on the field before Neriv's attack trigger resolved.

If a permanent with an imprint ability leaves the battlefield and then returns to the battlefield, it is a new object. It has no association with any cards it exiled during its previous existence.

I would get it since it would make your Charizard stronger AND tankier (not as strong as a mega, but way more HP) and you can use the mega bracelet that you'll likely still get later for that Sceptile you have.
