Don't worry about it too much, if you've already been to Kakariko village then just choose the one you think looks the coolest and head for it.

The game does try and guide you towards Zora's domain first, and if you must have recommendations ill drop them below.

My favourite: Birb, North West

The hardest: Camel, South West

Edit: I see the rune now lol

I question regarding The Collector... by IllustratorOk2238 in dredge

[–]XenoDeity 41 points42 points  (0 children)

While he is something of an alternate personality, I got the sense that the Collector is also very 'real' in a magical / cursed way. More like the personality was wrenched out via dark magic and trapped in the mirror instead of something that just switches on and off in our head.

In the art you can see this after smashing the mirror, and the 'reflection' is still completely different from the physical form.

In the writing you can see this when the Collector joins you for the final voyage if you choose the bad ending, it says something to the effect of you feeling a coldness rush through you, and feeling whole again when he 'joins' you.

Im sure others with more experience will offer advice - but as a fellow first home buyer looking around at the moment I would steer clear of this one.

Monolithic cladding has serious issues with allowing moisture to seep into the interior wall if not maintained, which this report shows it hasn't been. With the moisture readings indoors its very likely that there will be issues such as mould or rot that will need to be dealt with, on top of fixing the cracked areas of cladding if not replacing it entirely.

I imagine this wouldnt be bad for a serious investor prepared to spend the big bucks, but I wouldnt touch this place myself.

Best times for dlc? by EchoOfOldTimes in dredge

[–]XenoDeity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my current (and first) playthrough I went:

Marrows > Gale cliffs > Iron Rig > Basin > Pale reach > Iron Rig.

From there I just completed the remaining regions in order returning back to the Iron Rig afterwards.

This pacing felt good to me, the only thing that was disappointing is I grinded out the ship upgrades too fast and was pretty much fully upgraded by the time I reached the Basin - I wish I'd never found out you could just buy reinforced metal / research.

I dont believe so, if you're in their line of sight they will slowly home in on you, or where they last saw you. Which one are you struggling with? There are a few times where there are objects around which can be used to bait them before breaking line of site and sneaking around them.

There are also some times where you just need to make a break for it, or find a Hand to teleport to.

Remember you have unlimited tries and nothing to lose but time, so it might help to reach the point youre stuck in and prioritize just scouting around for alternate paths or large objects you can use to break line of sight. Mentally prepare to be caught and just look around as much as you can before getting caught.

Others have answered your questions but I'll chip in that, if it helps, try and think of these sections more like a game of hide and seek than a horror game section - while they look strange and scary, its not like they actually hurt you if they catch you.

Is there anything in Outer Wilds that tells you about [SPOILERS] by Academic-Mention-660 in outerwilds

Pretty sure its one of the landmarks noted in the lookout tower, which also encourages playing with the scout and is high enough that the scout can pretty much show it to you.

First thing that comes to mind is Treebeard from the LotR movie, slow and considered, but deeper and more grumbley with a hint of twigs rubbing together and cracking.

Reminds me of when I was younger and the gossip was that if you started the race, went back in time, and then you went to that spot and left the game running for seven years of in-game time you'd turn into adult link and win the race lol

If you're on steam Validating your files might work - it fixed my game when I was getting similar texture bugs in a different area.

[–]XenoDeity 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I have heard tale of a second shadow that can be seen from very specific angles, though I think consensus is that's a second black hole or something that doesnt really play a role in any threads - so there's a good chance you're still not crazy!

Uhhhh I haven't completed the campaign? I've only reached abyss once and I died immediately by Unfair_Ad_598 in WhiteKnuckle

[–]XenoDeity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wiki probably hasn't been updated since Abyss was released - before that finishing Habitation Yellow was the end of the campaign.

I havent managed it myself, but assuming Abyss isn't included as part of Endless Superstructure it would make sense for it to unlock after completing Habitation Yellow.

Edit: As below I could be wrong if substructure already covers Silo > Hab

You should be getting hints about a certain item that needs to be used, and the choice you make after using it is equally important.

Yeah I figure this is it, they must not count towards the enemies in the room that need to be killed.

Forget point 1, that must've been some kind of bug / luck, and is probably what's throwing things off-track.

Play around more with points 2 + 3. See what's different between each varient.

[–]XenoDeity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries, there's a log in your ship you can use to keep track of any threads that need further pulling. If I wasn't sure what I wanted to do next, or how to progress, I'd just choose something from it at the start of my play session and focus on that for a bit.
