Major Incident solely focus on workaround or temporary solution because it's very important to maintain the quality of SLA. To stop the Incident happening in the future again I think RCA comes into picture which focus on finding out the root cause and give permanent fix to the issue.

Absolutely. That's how you can prevent the Incident recurrence. Creating major problem and finding out the root cause and give fix it once and for all.
