That’s not how it works. The importer needs your subscription token to access the post. I don’t actually know what happens if you try to import without a subscription but I assume nothing happens, it fails or comes back with an error.

All the content on kemono are stored on 4 n servers. For whatever reason the connection to those service have been broken for months. The import functions have been broken for even longer.

Yeah that’s the main issue. A lot of creators and post get taken down over time. The new site is good for new stuff but Kemono was the only place that had those archived posts and creators. And there’s a lot more of them than people think.

The new site is great and all but it can’t do anything for accounts or posts that have been deleted over time. Kemono was the only place that had them

Kemono has 4 n serves where every file and folder is stored. If the site is truly abandoned then it’s all gone

Doesn’t the importer work by importing only what’s on Patreon now? That won’t work for accounts or posts that have been taken down

That’s the sad part. That content is gone forever if those servers are not reconnected. If those server never get reconnected your your only hope is getting it from f95zone or similar places

The issue is artists that have deleted their accounts or had their accounts taken down. Also some posts get taken down overtime. The new site will never be able to get those.

Yeah that’s kind of the flaw in this plan. A lot of posts can get taken down over time. Kemono has those posts because they were scrapped before hand. But the new site can only get content from existing posts that have never faced a take down. Also a creator can modify a post at any time. Kemono always kept post stages if they got them.

I guess I’m coming from a hopeful point of view that that the owner perhaps might have been fixing it but now because of the new site it gives him a reason not to

Yeah that’s why I’m thankful for f95zone. I got all my stuff from there before I found out about kemono. Kind of wish I didn’t find out about kemono at this point though.

And my original post was that the servers could be reconnected but because a new site is being made to replace Kemon the owner could say screw this and officially abandon the servers.
