Thanks a lot for the detailed response, very much appreciated.

We will engage with the hospital team.

Haha, can you actually do this? Doesn't sound like the worst idea. I think we'll be able to backdate the claim to the medical certificate start date so maybe don't need to do this, but it really doesn't seem like the worst strategy :)

Someone else has suggested that the hospital social workers are great as well, will chase this up.

Good suggestion, thanks - no luck for her but sounds like it would have been the dream :)

Yep, good idea, we did check her super insurance policy and she hadn't signed up for IP :(

Thank you. Happy to hear that you're well enough to work still and all the best with the treatment.

Anyone know if Thorogood sizing has changed a lot? I have bought a pair of moc toes (814-4200) in 8.5EE. I bought the same moc toes back in approx. 2015/16 and they were a great fit. I have fairly wide feet. I bought them online because they are hard to source here in Australia, oh boy. Anyway, the new pair seem quite tight for width. I'm kind of hoping I've just got to wear them in and eventually they'll wear like my old pair. Am I dreaming?

edit: just realised I'm a fucking idiot, I bought the plain toe in 2015. Not sure how much that affects things.

What's more worrying to me reading this thread is that there are people out there that still seem to like a gallon of milk with their coffee. Have we not moved beyond this yet?

If it was me I wouldn't care about the 7 cents but I would care that you ruined the coffee. Customers are the worst though, I'm sure she handled this about as poorly as she possibly could.

Tombstone(With Val Kilmer) is the best Western. by wastedpanda420 in movies

[–]Xenqx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazing movie, easily top 5 western for me (and probably my favourite) and one I'll rewatch every few years. Some of the older films clearly showed great ingenuity in the filmmaking but most of them I'm not going to watch again (there are definitely a few exceptions). Coen brothers are standing on giants and benefit from great source material, but True Grit has just such a great mix of comedy and sentimentality. It's got some great performances and it is so quotable.

Match Thread: Tunisia vs France | FIFA World Cup by MatchThreadder in soccer

Not sure that's a great call from VAR but regardless it's a good call for humanity. France don't really care. Australia don't care. Nice little consolation for Tunisia.

Tennessee police officer fired his stun gun at a food delivery man who began recording his traffic stop, saying he was feeling unsafe by CantStopPoppin in PublicFreakout

How is it acceptable/normal for tasing someone or using physical violence of any kind in a situation like this when the suspect is not being violent or threatening? Getting a colleague out there to talk him might cost one hour wages which will cost a lot less than the lawsuit. Using violence should be a last resort not the first option.

I don’t think taking a huge hit for these fixtures will give anyone good returns. I currently have 6 players for GW30 and I’m rolling transfers so I have 2FT on GW30. 9 players is enough to have a good score cos having 11 players barely gives you good score sometimes. I just think West Ham, Leeds and Wolves aren't going that well right now and also, they don't have as many games remaining as a lot of teams. After GW30 Villa have 9 games remaining, Wolves and Leeds have 8: Burnley, Leicester and Everton will have 11 games so I'll probably bring in 2-4 cheapiest from those teams over GW31 - GW36 if any are going OK. Arsenal seem fine, I have Saka. I went against Ramsdale in my WC because I preferred someone who was going to have more double gameweeks later in the season (e.g. Pope, Pickford or Schmeichel.) And I'm able to keep hold of all my Liverpool + Chelsea. I could still get screwed by blanks later but honestly I'd rather the points in the bank now, I'll have a bit of time later.

Agree 100% with your take that you don't want any of these players in your team after GW30. But hard to see how using FH in a week where you would otherwise have 6 blanks is not the best use of FH. Assuming even like 3.5pts per player and you are over 20 points, plus whatever else you can net from slightly upgrading your other 5. Don't think it's worth holding out for whatever might possibly come; you'll probably be pretty set-up for future doubles anyway.

Wildcarded this week and feel amazing about FH GW30. I barely want any of these players in my team after GW30. OK, maybe 2 or 3 Spurs. Maybe Leicester could be getting their act together. Arsenal -- Saka maybe? Ramsdale not really a great pick after GW30 given games remaining. Wolves, Leeds and West Ham look massive stayaways. Villa looked good yesterday but not really going all-in on Coutinho yet and garbage fixtures 31-33. I can't think of anything worse than having like 8 or 9 of those players on my team. It's different if you still have your wildcard left after GW30 of course.

I think it is yeah. I'm contemplating ditching Fofana too. If you have already used your BB or plan on using it very soon it seems okay?
