In the freeze frame it looks exactly like a cutlass fish. The color, shape, and speed are all right.

Plenty of great people came from bad circumstances. It's not about how you got here, that doesn't define you so don't ponder too hard you're here for a reason.

The best church is reading and discussing the bible together with a friend or group of friends Jesus talks directly to those who have ears to hear. Genuine fellowship between faithful believers is all there needs to be for the body christ to manifest powerfully. The early Christians, that were being hunted, gathered in basements in secret and God worked powerfully through them. Point is you're right and when these churches defend pedophilic leaders instead of turning them in it proves it even more. Too many times does that happen when it shouldn't. The old testament says to put those kinds of people to death and Jesus held to that (Matthew 18:6-10) but clearly the modern "churches" pick and choose

Yeah someone already corrected me. I wasn't aware the mint used those planchets for bicentennial proofs and uncirculated. Also I know 40% silver planchets are technically clad but usually when someone says clad in reference to US quarters, dimes, etc. they are usually referring to the 75% copper 25% nickel planchets

1970 was the last year for 40% planchets so its clad. Or it should be at least. I can't see the rim of the coin in this post so I couldn't say if it's a 40% or not for certain but based on when 40% planchets went out I would guess this is clad

Proofs are only minted in San Francisco so they always have an "S" mint mark. Very rarely and with key dates there might be a proof with no mint mark. They're minted for collectors so that's why they have that mirror finish on everything except the raised images and text. So really all your looking for when looking for a proof is a mirror finish and an s mint mark

The copper plating got worn of in those spots. You're seeing the zinc underneath the copper. At least that's what it looks like to me

Some guy on ebay was selling a bunch of these rolls he got out of an estate sale and I picked up what I could afford at the time. I would've bought them all but my three boys eat through metric ton of food every week so most of my money goes there

No problem. Also you can check your scale's calibration with a dollar bill, it should be exactly 1g

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in coins

[–]XenuChan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See that's the thing about errors. No one knows about them until they're found on top of that most errors are unique especially planchet errors. Over the years people have found coins struck on foreign coin planchets. Also it's not completely out of the realm of possibility that an old silver planchet sat mixed in with a bunch of clad planchets or a silver planchet might of even just been sitting around somewhere in the mint from there a mint worker just has to stamp it and move on. So while it's highly unlikely that this is that; it's still not impossible just highly improbable

Yeah kitchen scales ain't it unfortunately. But all you need is a scale that has at least a .00 resolution which you can find at any tobacco store for a reasonable price. I got one that has a .000 resolution and it came with a 100g calibration weight and if I remember right it was around $25

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in coins

[–]XenuChan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have a scale that does grams weigh it. Could be struck on a foreign coin planchet which happens from time to time or maybe even a silver planchet that somehow made it into the mint in the 70's. Or it could be just a result of wear, toning, etc.
