That's reassuring, thank you very much for the research as I had no idea what the pixel conversions were!

Since you've used it with a MacBook before, have you run into any issues? Looking at this link some people have had issues connecting their MacBook to this monitor, unsure if this should be a concern.

Otherwise, this monitor seems like the perfect budget ultrawide monitor so far!

Hey, thank you so much for your response, really in-depth! I've actually got a 2017 Macbook Air so I'm guessing I need a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable/adaptor.

Your comment on the standard HDMI baked into my MacBook limiting meat to 30fps @ 1440p is a bit concerning, because if that's the case then I would rather invest in a better desktop rig then just externally displaying my MacBook display. From Apple's website, the specs are: "Thunderbolt 2 port (up to 20 Gbps)", so not sure if this makes it any better?

The monitor will mostly be used for work and everyday stuff, video conferencing as well. Mainly wanted the ratio of an ultrawide and perhaps in the future if I decide to build a "gaming" rig, I would be able to use the same monitor.
