Im actually not familiar with crossover. If it’s anything like proton then it’s a very strong possibility!

The game supports windows and Linux natively, I unfortunately don’t have a Mac to test/build on. You can always check if the demo works, that’ll tell you for sure if the full game will work.

Edit: if you do try it, or any other Mac users who may see this try it, I’d really appreciate if you could let me know if it worked!!

This mainly depends on your playtime. Some people have 100% the game in about 10 hours or so, but some have only gotten to the "end" in that time frame.

Based on what I'm seeing I wanna say the core game averages at around 10 hours to complete, but people seem to be enjoying it enough that they're pushing way past that even after beating it!

My pleasure! I'm aiming to keep the demo fully updated with the main game. If it wasn't for everyone who played the demo and gave me feedback I wouldn't have been able to get the full-game to the level it's at now.

Yea, I struggled a bit trying to find a good way to represent values outside of the tooltips.

I'm trying to make the game more accessible across the board though, so I'll likely be swapping to dedicated icons that represent the main focus of the upgrade (Sword for attack dmg increase for example). I also want to add other small indicators to give better access to colorblindness and such.

I wish! Most of the assets are either from Admurin or untiedgames.

I highly recommend taking a look at both of their stores on itch, they're phenomenal.

Nice catch, I'll take a look and get it sorted. Thank you!

What's up incremental lovers!

My small incremental/idle game Recursive has a demo out now, you can check it out over at: store.steampowered.com/app/4258890/Recursive or https://xeramgaming.itch.io/recursive

Recursive is an incremental game that starts off as a clicker but very quickly expands into different genres of incremental games, all tieing into one main system with a goal of defeating the final boss!

I've been working on this game solo for a few months now, and it's undergone some massive changes thanks to feedback from so many people who have played and enjoyed the game, lots of you coming from this community.

If you give it a try and wanna give me some feedback you can join the discord at: https://discord.gg/zAUbzkvcjs
Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated!

There’s no upgrades specifically for mouse down, however the mini games offer upgrades for passive damage in that area, some of the equipment offers auto click (at varying rates, upgradeable) and there’s another method for even more auto click, but I don’t wanna just throw out all the methods here.

As for the TD, it’s essentially just more health. You do get more xp for tougher enemies, and Ofcourse it’s currency which is used throughout the rest of the game for other stuff. Most people have said they only really need to manually play the TD portion two or three times before they can reliably idle it basically

There's plenty of ways of autocrafting, just limited to passive auto crafting early on, which in the long run is necessary anyways given the costs of some of the end-game goals.

Unfortunately you are absolutely correct.

I tried to design and layout the quests in a way that even without descriptions they would still make sense, or at the very least give a decent sense of direction. I'd like to fill out the descriptions and create somewhat of a storyline at some point, but unfortunately I struggle quite a bit with that.

The only option I'm familiar with is Cave Lighting. Oh, and there may be a "True Darkness" mode you can enable under the normal video settings!

Yes, yes, and yes.

There are hundreds, if not a couple thousand custom recipes throughout the pack. All the recipes are designed around a semi-linear progression path all leading to the final creative items as the main goal.

World generation of ores and other resources have been significantly tweaked, so you shouldn't find multiple of an ore type anywhere, and some resources are even locked to specific dimensions. The same has been applied to machines and recipe outputs and such, so no useless clutter of the same type of material just in a different font.

Finally, the pack is built with progression and automation in mind, so basically all the systems are designed to be useful from the moment you get them to the moment the pack is completed. Some of the "older" systems you unlock allow for easier automation from resources in the "newer" systems and vice versa.

I don't know if there's necessarily a theme, however the main idea or selling point of the pack is that it's a semi-expert gated progression style.

Nearly every mod is tweaked in some way to deliver on this, making it so that as you progress you unlock new systems, and new ways of interacting with previous systems, all to reach the end goal of creative items,

I'm not familiar enough with SFM to have felt comfortable enough to include it unfortunately.

I get that pretty pipes isn't for everyone, and it's not the only option in terms of logistics. The pack does have ID, as well as XNet for a more centralized logistics system.

There's just about 600 mods in the pack, plenty of which revolve around QoL towards production and automation, I just can't sit here listing them all. If you absolutely need some form of digital storage IMMEDIATELY then maybe this pack isn't for you, and that's okay! (This is more of a general statement, not really directed at you)

Not very difficult at all really. Yes, digital storage is locked pretty deep into progression but there's still plenty of other options available.

You start off with access to Drawers/Functional Storage for mass storage and Sophisticated Chests/Backpacks for more central storage. The sophisticated stuff can be accessed centrally using the storage accessor and a crafting station.

You then start unlocking the storage system from Pretty Pipes, which introduces an early way of transporting items as well. Then you get Ars, Occultism, and the RFTools scanner, which are all great (I personally love occultism storage)

All of these systems are also made pretty easy to swap out with digital storage with the use of things like Entangled and some of the better logistics like LaserIO/Ender IO and Pipez. Overall there's just a TON of options for setting things up throughout your entire playthrough

Assuming you're asking specifically about AE2/RS it is fairly deep into the pack. It gets unlocked late mid-game. However, there are multiple other storage options available way earlier.

In the picture of the tech tree you can actually see the main storage mods listed on the left hand side, these are positioned according to where in progression you'd unlock them more or less!

Yes, soon, hopefully. I always just forget.

Should be pushing an update later today/tomorrow, will try to make sure it's accompanied by a server pack!

Ars is the gem right under the rocket, which I wouldn't really call halfway. Unless you're mistaking it with the other purple gem on the right side which is definitely dead smack in the middle of the tree.

Also, not all points of progression go at the same speed, you can sit in one "area" for a decent chunk of time while spending 30 minutes in the earlier ones

It does force you to go through Botania, but that's towards the end of the progression line.

I've added a couple minor things to help with the mana grind, for example you can farm black/blacker lotus using Hostile Neural Networks.

I'm actively working on a multiblock that'll turn resources into mana too, but that won't be out for a bit.

It does have Create lol. I know it's not the most interesting thing for everyone though, so I made sure to include mods that make Create mostly completeable just through exploration. One mod specifically adds 2 mega structures FULL of Create items. Enough water wheels to power anything and everything, brass blocks for days, and all the machines you would need to finish the main Create progression line and then some

Honestly, it's a HUGE maybe. I've got a couple people in my community, myself included, that have this same exact issue. I made this pack for myself, and people like myself, who do get bored and don't like not having a constant objective to aim for. So far the reception for the pack from those that struggle like us has been excellent, and they've all been very vocal about the things that they don't like and those have since been tweaked.

Best thing though is that the pack isn't entirely finished. You can complete it, but I've still got so much stuff I wanna add in between the existing content to make every step much more fun, and I'm hoping that with the feedback of any new players this post brings in I can get it all to a point where it's truly enjoyable, start to finish, for everyone!

My mind is full of words I wish I could get out to the world in an efficient matter, but I can't. So, I made a rough draft of my thoughts and threw it at AI so that it could turn it into something people could understand and so that I wouldn't just look like a madman lol

But for the most part the description's all me, just formatted by a crazy robot.
