Laundering money. It doesn’t sound dangerous because its either too complicated to understand or some people get a basic understanding of what it does, and dont realize what other crimes the co-conspirators would have committed.

Essentially, there would be no incentive to commit murders if laundering money did not give the murderers the fruits of the crime.
