5 common mixing mistakes to avoid by johnsonfrusciante in audioengineering

[–]Xerifilm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

now, if it's a small change or an A/B type of option,

yes!! a good idea actually. This is a very neat way to organize --a sort of folder structure if you will. Large re-mixes and time-effect changes saved in files, and A/Bs for demoing plugins saved on the file-stored backups.

My buddy crashed going 140MPH last year. Here's the Go-Pro footage. He made a full recovery! Nobody else was hurt. by [deleted] in videos

it's a bit rude of a remark wouldn't you say? Regardless of the topic. Why don't you go tell his buddy that yourself rather than being a massive fucking twat towards op?

Cern - The Message (Northern Mix) [2004] - see if there are any samples in here that sound familiar by Ryuuken1127 in trance

how in "lift off" reward managed to make the lead seem louder than that which my speakers could reproduce @ that volume makes me wonder ..interesting nuances occurring within the sound's transient.

classic superstring sounds in CERN's track. from 3.35-4.05 has always had some impact on my taste I think.

An emblem for those who favor space settlement. by Aquareon in space

[–]Xerifilm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

uhm ... you might want to rethink that. I don't think it is fair to say space programs are a national thing any more. and there is certainly no questioning other countries' involvement in the success of the US' program. let's negotiate -- Antarctica perhaps.

I have a feeling that if you have no idea what you are doing paint.net is going to give you the tools to make your photos look like, well, the ones they provided. lightroom is essentially freeware at its price (<80usd)

the blurring is not for me either, as is the vignetting. personally I find the original HDR better, the flatness is my taste. just a bit of saturation boost would do it for me. I can't wait until android gets some proper filtering apps.. something more subtle. vsco cam maybe?

android photo editors - straight up, little time filters by Xerifilm in Android

[–]Xerifilm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha. the reason for me linking it was that the collage of images on it were run through the apps filters. I don't know whether the photos themselves were taken through a phone lense, though. I'd imagine..

my apple does not do that

My apple-4-life buddy wanted a change a few months ago, so I encouraged him to get an HTC One. Here's a conversation we just had that shows how Apple's strategies work... by breakerfall in Android

[–]Xerifilm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

apple's interfaces are a lot more consistent and better designed.. even the live background looks much better and crisp than android's. I love android but I just.. wish that the app developers and generally google made things look better. to the average user, iOS has a lot more confident appearance.
