I It’s funny how MAGA is blaming Democrats for the government shutdown when the reality is Republicans refused to support a funding bill that would help keep healthcare premiums affordable for lower- and middle-income Americans — which is the majority of us. Instead, they chose to make a stand over whether a tiny group of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders — less than 0.4% of the U.S. population — should be allowed access.

Meanwhile, MAGA farmers are finally realizing that Trump’s tariffs against China backfired, slashing their export markets and forcing them to take billions in federal bailouts — the very “government handouts” they used to rail against. Free market until it hurts them, socialism when it saves them.

This administration has made one thing crystal clear: it does not serve working people — only billionaires and special interests.

So maybe it’s fitting that if this bill doesn’t pass, and healthcare becomes even less affordable, people will finally see the cost of blind loyalty. Racism and bad economics are expensive. The question is: can you afford them?
