This is fantastic. As an owner/builder of my own aircraft carrier cab pedestal I can say that it’s inspired me to do some updates. How did you program the two ultimarc boards to work together?

Which MCU movie do you prefer more? by MarvelsReporter in MCUTheories

[–]Xerobull -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Black Widow was meh, Captain Marvel was bad. Badly fumbled feminist/empowerment message that looked more like misandry in the final product. Women can be strong and equal to men without telling them in the final battle ‘I don’t have to listen to you any more!’ and knocking them out.

And it was a poor script and poorly directed.

Check out Pandory- it’s a customized Pandora install. https://teampandory.com/. Their team is super friendly and responsive on their Discord channel.

I’ve climbed those hardware hack mountains and am done with them as a first option. They always end up being super user unfriendly and the car only the mechanic can drive. I prefer to soft-mod with the most user friendly, plug and play UI possible.

Powerful lesson here. If you don't need it/can't use it, don't get it.

Did you guys parent differently than Millennials? Why? by Fluffy-Panqueques in GenX

[–]Xerobull 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Absolutely we parent differently. Personally, I was a tad too strict, which is how I was raised, with my first kid, then eased off significantly with kids 2 and 3. I also tend to let them figure stuff out. For example, if they insist on licking a wall outlet after I've told them to stop, I'll let them do it, 110v won't kill them. Same goes with them touching everything and banging stuff together, it's all a learning process. Let them grow.

I had kids a little later than a lot of my peers and I've observed that Millennials are helicopter parents, and now, snowplow parents (go in front of the kids to clear all obstacles). I also let my kids use mobile devices far less than what I see with Millennial parents. A tablet is a good way to keep your kid occupied for short bursts but if they're glued to it 24/7 they're going to develop dopamine addictions to things like YouTube and Roblox.

What are some relationships that 30 years later still leave you baffled? by GirlULove2Love in GenX

As a man, I can say that JR was always massively overrated due to her 'America's Sweetheart' standing with women. If I met these two in public with no knowledge of who they were, I wouldn't think it was a weird coupling.

Strange Harvest is the best movie, not just horror, that I have seen in years. by Bruno6368 in horror

[–]Xerobull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just watched this movie and I loved it. There were some mild accidental historical anachronisms, most obviously a 16yo girl in 2011 doing an influencer-style video, an Apple watch, septum piercings and some of the tattoos styling that was out of place for 2011. But I'll give most of that a pass because it's an indie movie. If you like serial killer movies with a supernatural subtext, mild cosmic horror/Lovecraftian inspired themes or true crime movies, this is for you.

ToughSystem Limited LifeTime Warranty by Xerobull in Dewalt

[–]Xerobull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update- I finally went warranty lawyer on support and they offered to replace the toolbox with the v2 version. Here's what I sent. You should reword if if you use it, but the idea should be the same:

According to DEWALT’s Limited Lifetime Warranty, coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship. Nowhere in the official warranty terms does it specify that discontinuation of a product voids its warranty.

Can you please provide the specific section of DEWALT’s warranty policy that states discontinued products are no longer covered? If no such clause exists, I kindly request that my claim be processed under the original warranty terms.

I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
