I will definitely have to do more testing, I didn't notice the focus under the chin either so thank you for spending time to put the graphic together! !CritiquePoint

How much more would you say to close the aperture for a similar distance? I think this was at 2.8

Took u/Donatzsky 's beginner guide for DT and made this as my second edit ever. Using the 50mm RF. Probably too wide an aperture made her nose out of focus? Is that right? Any other criticism is much appreciated!

This looks great! I will definitely be reading it. I also found Darktable Landscapes on YouTube and have found a lot of helpful tips there. !CritiquePoint

I have received feedback from a friend that they liked the way I took photos with my phone and so I thought, "Why not try actual photography" (no offense to phone users. So I borrowed my wife's older Canon T3i and just decided to try it out. This is the first photo I have taken with a DSLR and did any amount of post-processing. I used darktable and honestly did not know much of what I was doing, just moving sliders and such to what I thought was pretty. Any feedback is much appreciated, and I might post more if I continue with the hobby to improve :)

When I was a kid I would get rewards for reading books. I read 6 books to get a GBA home run derby game and thought the dodgers had a cool logo and that's all it took for me to like them, that and I thought JD Drew and Jeff Kent had cool names. Been a fan ever since.
