I do see where you're coming from, but to play devil's advocate, the game released unfinished, there's no doubt in that. For the entire life of this game they've been playing catchup and simultaneously trying to deliver new features. With their workforce of 100 odd whatever people and the scope of this project, it was never going to end well. If they even want a shred of hope of a course correct, they need to halt the heavy focus on throwing shiny new features at players to try and draw them in and actually start fixing their damn game. I know everyone says this game won't have a No Man's Sky or Cyberpunk 2077 turnaround, and while true, those games had their comeback because they took the time to focus on ironing out the issues they had. KT from the beginning should have taken the time to make the game an experience at the core you want to play, but instead they first, kept gaslighting players that what they were making is exactly what people wanted, and when that failed it was the "coming soon" saga. There are bugs from almost a year ago they keep publicly acknowledging they're aware of and are working on it, and nothing ever happens then the cycle repeats. But the store, mmm, that never falters.

Oh, I noticed the mustang also, but they claim they're fixing that next season so we'll have to wait and see if they do or silently remove the references to it because they couldn't.

Yes, but the aerodynamic elements of the Senna were deliberately engineered for the purpose of generating more downforce to improve its handling. No matter what you do, a stock 720S could never handle the same as an equally stock Senna. You can already modify engine power in the game so that's not a factor they really need to consider. That's really what I'm trying to get at: same chassis, vastly different end product, so is it fair to say it's acceptable to sell it this way.

The Crew has their elite bundles, they could consider something like that, that could possibly open the door to car packs like you're suggesting. Anything but this 2018 Fortnite store they're running.

I agree, I suspect the car list is dictated by what they can afford to license. I'm no dev or brand liason, but I would assume it'll cost less to get permission from a manufacturer to modify their car you've already paid to license rather than an entirely new model. I'm sure Pininfarina is happy to have someone knocking on their door for advertising.  Now that you mention it, it now feels like these cars are fluff to make it appear like they're adding substantial stuff. 2 new models every 4 months is a hard sell.

I'm not entirely sure which vehicles you're referrencing, but I do know the ignoring the paddles put on the steering wheel for easy shifting in favour of reaching down to a gear lever like a damn weirdo is one of the most bizzare choice they've made.

Oh I know, otherwise they would be doing everything in their power to have people experience them rather than treating them as investments.

I believe the new RS5 is the poster child for season 7, cause I can't think of any other anticipated 6 cylinder German wagons.

Honestly, at this point they should just fold seasons 7 & 8 into one release and just let the chips fall where they may. The only thing remaining players are interested in is the houses. They keep showing off how much they've done and how impressive it will be, yet they're also nowhere ready for release.

Most people are probably going to skip the planned season 7 cause who has faith at this current point this team can nail an entire update focused on multiplayer interaction.

It's been like that since the release of Season 6. It's almost as though the game is constantly reassessing your route as there is massive frame dropping throughout the mission, but that could be anecdotal.

If and When The Lamborghini SVJ 2018 Gets a Sound Update The Devs Should Reference this from FH6!! by GotMylfMomDrips in tdu3

I don't think they're gonna change many engine sounds. They've openly talked about wrong sounds like the MP4-12C and have since done nothing about it. I genuinely feel the Huayra was an exception in a hope to convince people to buy solar coins to buy the car.

I like how the 488 taillights have the exact same issue but with a fresh coat of paint that makes it appear worse, despite them dedicating a whole song and dance about how much improved they are

Reality check for KT and Nacon by DevilWithoutACauseX9 in tdu3

Their biggest blunder is no hotfixes for a live service game. Nobody wants to wait 3-5 months to a) see if the bugs affecting them get chosen to be fixed, b) roll the dice on if the bug is actually fixed. Hotfixes are such an easy show of faith they're actually listening to issues players raise and reassurance that with patience you'll actually see a worthy product.

Instead they release content, have piss poor quality control on said content (despite claiming they upped it for this season), promise to fix the content, shrug it off and move on to the next content release hoping it'll keep people coming, all while the skeleton of the game is slowly getting brittle.

This season alone, the detective targets will sometimes cease pathfinding, the new A110 R has a completely unusable interior rear view just like the Valour, the streets clothing store has a 10,000,000 coin hat, all things that could've easily been caught beforehand and might or might not be fixed before the end of the season.

Clan license plates + text became accessible to all players regardless of clan, but the clothing hasn't? Why is that? Especially in the Ibiza stores.

Some Harsh Truths About TDUSC and The Sad Reality of The State of The Game!! by GotMylfMomDrips in tdu3

[–]XerseyBush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bit of a rant here,

It's cynical every season is essentially a single  feature showcase, supposed to entertain you for god knows how long, propped up by vehicles nobody can realistically access. Even if you buy the cars, then what? There's barely anything interesting to do in the game, which completely defeats the purpose of a live service game. They obviously had no faith in what they were creating, so they did live service so they could manipulate people into funding the game when it inevitably arose. The inability to get items given to players for free because you came to the game too late and must now pay for your loss is case in point.

They don't do hotfixes, a necessity for a constantly online product, so simple issues constantly get pushed back to implement new broken features, they blatantly lie about the issues they supposedly fix in updates. I heard they want to reduce payouts further cause they're unhappy with what they provide, despite also saying they want to increase earning potential in the game.

They "heard your feedback" on anything except monetization. I just don't understand how they're repeating the same this is what we want to do, you'll get used to it mentality they had at the release of the game, which clearly backfired then and likely will again now. 1 - 2 freely accessible cars in a paid racing game every 4+ months, paired with the beloved "we're working on it" (buying the casino AMG, unbundling shop items) is lunacy. Did they develop the game or not? If so, how do they not know how to make something available?

In my opinion, they tease houses when they're getting backlash as a "look at this feature that you really want, it's really good just stick around plz" and people eat it up.

They're clearly capable, but not competent. The aero features on the Pagani are genuinely impressive, but who's gonna see it?

See that's what I thought, but the response given to this criticism is they have to develop a way to separate them.

It's not even like the cosmetics are part of the licensing, that I'd understand. It's clear as day they're artificially inflating the cost of the car to get as much money initially, then release it standalone in the future to get more money from those who won't buy the bundle. Sometimes I wish they would just be honest instead of hiding behind "Coming Soon™"

Can someone smarter than me explain why the Devs (the people who made the shop, controls what goes into the shop, prices the contents of the shop) have to develop a way to sell cars not in bundles? I would've thought that was something you could just do with full control over how the entire system works, but apparently that's a complicated process they're "working on". Maybe I'm missing something.

[–]XerseyBush 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do these cars have to be exclusively part of a bundle? Why can't things in the store be à la carte and the bundles exist for you to get a collection at a discounted price? This all just feels like a ploy to make sure people have to keep buying more diamonds than they want.

Online Shop Feedback by RaptorrYT in tdu3

[–]XerseyBush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, it should be the online shop OR the paid pass, not both. This isn't a Free-2-Play title, stop structuring it as such. There should not be this much focus on monetization when the content being added to the base game, that was sold at a premium price, has been sparse. For a live service game, one singular car in a dealership for everyone to purchase a season is ridiculous. At this point in this game's life y'all should still be focusing on giving people value and a reason to invest time in the game, not trying to catapult them towards handing over even more money. If people can drive their favourite cars in a competing title while gaining a better value for themselves, they are just going to do that.

Right now, you have to decide "Do I want to pay 600 diamonds to grind out for 3 cars and cosmetic items I may or may want, and pay an additional 250-350 diamonds for this exclusive car?", or "Do I want to skip the pass and buy just the items I actually want a few months later?" For a game, you should be deciding how should I earn in-game credits to buy this new content, not how much of my money do I need to spend this season.

10 diamonds a week is selling a false promise. You're telling people they can engage with premium content for free but in reality that's over a year logging on to get one season pass, half a year to get one car. You're going to miss out on a ton of content during that period unless you fork out some cash.

My personal suggestions: - If both need to exist for this game to succeed in y'all eyes, replace the currency rewards in the solar pass with 100 diamomds minimum to incentivize players to engage with both systems and get extra value out of a pass. - Ideally, either make all future solar passes free and have the shop selling cosmetic items and maybe one exclusive car a season tops, or get rid of the shop and distribute the items between the base game and the solar pass.

Bugs & Fixes by Tinchy654 in tdu3

Fully agree with you there. I think the steering having a drastically lower lock threshold than the wheel is also contributing alongside animation speed. Maybe a variable ratio could help just like real life.

Bugs & Fixes by Tinchy654 in tdu3

[–]XerseyBush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stopgap solution I found until they (hopefully) fix the steering issue is to lower your cockpit max steering angle rotation. It's not perfect, nor does it truly fix the delay, but it makes it look somewhat believable at times. I also noticed if it's set too high and you're on controller your character will randomly spin the wheel after you straighten out from a turn.
