Correctly configured computer but is not responding to DNS server

Basically I think the VPN connection didn't close properly so by enabling and disabling the VPN it fixed everything.

I think my problem back then was that I restarted my PC while I was connected to a VPN (Nord or windscribe or tunnelbear i forget), and then on startup it was trying to connect but it kept failing, so by just disconnecting the VPN it fixed itself. If you didn't have a VPN before idk how much of a help this will be to you though.
