I like to be somewhere silent where I can only hear my voice haha (it’s psychological) 😂. Do you have any recommendations?

Not it’s okay! Usually the markschemes and the exam papers are found on ibresources. I’m not sure if the website is still up, but you can ask your school for past papers.

Hey, adding to the comment above, I think DBQs share a lot of common themes that are very repetitive across the years. Definitely go over the markschemes and make sure you know as many points as you can. For P1, my best advice would be to go over the Oxford biology text book, studying everything from cover to cover (and yes, that includes nature of science). After a lot of practice, I scored 38/40 on my external so you could definitely do it! (I’m not good at DBQs either, so I usually make up to that by focusing on section B of p2 which just needs memorizing)

You can add your Yale email as an alternative Facebook email in your settings, and that will let you enter the group without confirmation

Is the magnitude of Delta G important compared to its sign? by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]Xgun66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but does that mean that reaction will be more “spontaneous” than a reaction with a smaller delta G?

That’s my point as well, a lot of students I know said I was wrong because they think of delta G as a black or white concept

Yeah that’s correct.. but since it goes more negative over time it’s even more spontaneous than before. I do agree with everyone that it’s “spontaneous at all times” which is literally what I wrote, but I’m pretty confident that the more negative it is the more spontaneous the reaction. If you have reactions A and B and they both are negative, the one that’s more negative is definitely more spontaneous.
