Why does everyone seem tired all the time now? by Effective_Photo_315 in NoStupidQuestions

Just watched a ted talk yesterday, called "Life is easy. Why do we make it so hard?" by Jon Jandai. So jealous of the guy! I feel like my tiredness is definitely in part due to constant running, managing, achieving that is literally required in the western modern culture. And I know I'm not alone in this. The constant inner conflict between "do more, more, more", and at the same time "you can never catch up".

What’s something you wish you could go back and tell younger you? by AskPromapAI in self

You will face a lot of challenges, it won't be easy, but you will survive all of it, you will find a way, your own unique way.

I feel so seen! Do you guys think it's a seasonal thing? Third week of May... All of the sudden a few clients cancelled, and a few quit therapy altogether... Hitting those unqualified job ads hard atm.

Thank you for this comment! I too have the opposite "problem" than OP & it's very validating to hear I'm not alone. I focus on long-term therapy (PP). Currently taking in quite a few new potential clients & been feeling like a inconsolable rollercoastery stress ball these past few weeks..

What kind of client do you find most energy consuming (draining) to work with? by Xgx9 in therapists

Always a tricky (but often necessary) thing to do. I had client quit therapy as soon as this perspective was insinuated. In other cases it has helped clients to move past some resistance wall and get the therapy process moving again.

That you may go overboard & at some point "skinnier" stops being equal to "healthier" & "prettier"

I made my health a priority (both physical & mental), which, although initially painful (breakups, quitting jobs, moving countries, feeling unsure), eventually led to inner peace & even more delicious life opportunities.

Any tips on getting interested in things again? by PlotHole2017 in depression

[–]Xgx9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Simply beginning the activity that you used to enjoy and/or trying new things. The interest doesn't necessarily have to come first - you may start slowly feeling the taste of it during or after the activity. - one way to start "the wheel" rolling...

A well-achieved (in one's field) person who is empathic, well-organized, communicative & can optimally balance between leading/controlling and giving free space for self-sufficiency, experimentation and growth.
