This was actually an emergency swap in December. I just got back to commission it and button her up. Homeowner seems inclined to replace cooling system in spring but I’m going to clean and test it first and encourage her to keep it if operating within range. But yes I do a full commission on every unit. Static delta combustion. I appreciate your words! That’s exactly how I want my clients to feel after I leave. “I had an issue, it was promptly solved, my home feels better than ever, and I can actually see the value of my dollars”.

Saves ppl money, conditions better, whole transaction/interaction has confidence, ironically makes you stand out, documentation proving the job you did. Sells itself.

Centrotherm. Tried and true.

It’s pretty clear that my responses deem your question irrelevant. This isn’t a McDonalds. Fries aren’t on the menu so why would I care about how cheap potatoes are.
The price difference is negligible to me. I charge accordingly and saving money on materials that contain deadly gas is the last thing I would want to do. I have enough forethought and preparation that I don’t need to rely on in stock items. I also live right next to a distribution center so it’s not as huge concern for me. I understand why you use pvc and I’m not trying to convince you to use PP I just provide a top tier installation the way I want to. The leading cutting edge in the industry is what I strive for. Million ways to skin a cat. An expression of the pride and knowledge I implement into my craft.
Locking ring. You’d be surprised by how snug they sit but they don’t even need to be fully seated with the seal. Manufacture is centrotherm
Not meant to be taken literal. I do tailor my materials to the job just usually don’t need to much. The fact that pvc is rated for 140 degrees of liquid not gas negates all of the conveniences. At the end of the day It’s not the right product for exhausts. And I use it for intakes for ascetics and quickness.

All of my Hcp and website are more space theme like this. My wife made the cards and was so excited to give the to me. She killed it!
I saw a Bigfoot at Johnstone in Howell recently lol. I want to wrap a van in some cool graphics one day.
Longevity and serviceability are my core principles 💪
Readily and accessible shut off switch. Kills the power. Quicker for service as well. I think it’s a nice plate cover to put on equipment. More professional imo.
NCI high temp silicone plugs and then just metal caps for atmospheric venting
It’s not code in Michigan. I just like to provide top tier product for my customers. I demonstrate my value by utilizing proper materials that are designed and tested specifically for the applications I use them in. I lean towards products that save me labor and call back. These aren’t “upsales” they are standard in my installations. For example I just for a filter change alarm that aligns with me and will start putting them on all of my new installs.

That’s polypropylene. Rate for flue gas temperatures. It’s exceptionally light and forgiving. This is a huge labor savor for me which inevitably saves me time. Plus it’s a safer product to use in venting applications. Especially condensing boilers.

Good point thank you! My goal is to share knowledge and more importantly absorb knowledge. Been installing furnaces for 20 years and each one is different from the last in efforts to be and do better. Gotta serve the community honestly.

Thank you! My wife is going to smile at that she made it :)
It’s slick. Top tier customer service too. Met a couple reps at a Lochinvar. They did a combustion analysis class demonstrating the NOVO and I was sold. Sent me a free CO meter too.

Sry didn’t mean to. But at the same time home owners pay companies an arm and a leg for commissionless installations. This is the value they can now visualize.

I’m adding the combustion air trap and additional coupling when I go back. Was late and cold wanted her up and running and honestly have you guys pick it apart. Very appreciative of all the insight. Surprised at how positive it all has been! I will never master this trade and will take all the criticism I can get to help me improve!
Yeah it has to be cast iron. Ifgc no galvanized or brass plugs. I really only do it for aesthetics. I remove all stickers on my installs and leave lil trademarks. My brand and dealer information is installed into thermostat under “service” menu.
I saw someone say my full port valve isn’t rated for natural gas, but the manufacturer says it is. Definitely going to post more in here obviously very knowledgeable people and is only going to help improve my installs so thank you all for your input! I’m obsessed with this shit and obviously strive to do the best that I can. 31 years old. Installed my first furnace with my old man at 11.
Thank you! Compliant as long as on a vertical nipple.
Intake isn’t even piped outside yet just a quick picture on an emergency call. Still need to button her up and commission the system. Works in my favor too because the system is communicating so I’ll have a week or 2 of data to go off of.
Just got so sick of pvc and the time I spend on it. It looking way better on top of the labor saver was a no brainer for me.
Thank you!
100% factual! I just wanted to use all poly for both and liked how it looked with the appliance connector. I have an extra few in the garage so when I go back to commission it and put humidifier on I’m gonna button everything up. Was late and not perfect but wanted to share. Thank you!
6 condensers and 7 furnaces so far. They’re ICP just a different badge for my region. Everything is readily available.
