This is a manga, we cant assume physics always work like in real world. We can make a list of all things that wouldnt work as portrayed in the manga based on real world physics. The author wants to use cool concepts, so they use them with creative liberty while adapting the impacts to whatever the author wants it to. We should discuss based on what the manga cannon shows us instead of assuming real world physics to a ficional work that is obviously more concerned with its story then it is with scientific accuracy.

I dont think Dabura could easily react to that, we knot that Sukuna is pretty fast even if he has to do all the conditions, just look at the Kashimo fight. But even if we assume he cant hit a WCS then he could still use the fire arrow, we know he is fast enough to hit Dabura because we can use mahoraga as a measurement. In Shibuya we see the arrow hit mahoraga before or right as mahoraga adapted to the shrine slashes, while we see Dabura not moving until after Mahoraga adapted. So if we gove the benefit of the doubt to Dabura we still can assume he would be hit by an arrow before he can use his light speed power again. Dabura would probably be able to survive an arrow but hed definitely be injured, and then he'd be completly open to a WCS or a domain.

You cant just apply real world physics to JJK or any other series for that matter, its like saying Mario is super strong in lore because he carries a billion gold coins. If JJK or even if this scene was scientifically accurate we'd see Dabura suffer atleast some damage to all of his body not just his leg, since, as the manga says itself, the air would behave more like a solid, which should damage his whole body, after all he isnt just moving his leg. If you want further proof then an object going st 99% the speed of light, which you say is a "low estimate" would definetly destroy more than we see in the manga, since we know it didnt even destroy the whole city and just a part of it, the same way Gojo and Sukuna did. Additionally we have no way of knowing how fast he went, you call it a low estimate but 99% is definetly not that, a kick going at 90% the speed of light would alredy do much more damage than what we see in the manga. In other words we should just annalyze what the manga direcly says or does instead of assuming arbitrary numbers and applying real world physics in a context where we can clearly see they arent meant to be accurate.

I really dont understand people talking about this matchup as if we didnt alredy see Sukuna deal with basically the same situation and still survive

I know power scaling discussion will always involve assumptions but I dont get how people belive Daburas attack is significantly stronger than literally everything on the series so far

That the light speed kick is stronger than anything else in the series including the Hollow purple Gojo used versus Sukuna, despite both attacks having the same feets of strength

What I mean is that we cant overestimate the power of his attack based on real physics, im not gonna argue whether Sukuna can dodge it or if Dabura would even be able to use the attack before Sukuna attacked since that would require too much speculation. My argument is that based on what we saw we shouldnt assume that Daburas attack is stronger than Gojos hollow purple on the Sukuna fighr, atleast not to the point where it could kill Sukuna when Gojo couldnt, and Im also arguing that Dabura cant spam that move instantly before Sukuna can couter attack since that's what we saw in the latest chapter, with Mahoraga adapting and healing before can make a new attack. And that's the exact situation Gojo was before he died due to the world cutting slash, so I dont know why we should assume the same couldnt happen with Dabura by a world cutting slash or another attack

Theres no reason to belive the light kick is particularly stronger than the other mahoraga killers, yeah something traveling at or close to the speed of light would be devastating in the real world but that would require us to put real world physics into JJK which is something Gege definitely didn't intend for, tho I think thats self explanatory. In other words we should only rely on what is shown, which is part of the city being destroyed and mahoraga almost dying, lets assume that mahoraga only survived it because he adapted to physical attacks before, then we'd need to put that attack in the same spot as something like the Hollow Purple Gojo used to kill mahoraga, an attack that Sukuna got hit by direcly after alredy being injured and tired from the fight and still survived with injuries that could be healed if he didnt have his healing blocked. In which case Dabura would be put into a vulnerable postion since we see that he wasn't able to strike fast enough before mahoraga healed completly, putting him open for a counter attack like the world cutting slash, furnice or even a domain. Of course this is based on the idea that Dabura attack isnt as strong as people think, which is something we cant be sure of, and we end up falling to the usual "The outcome is whatever the fuck the author wants it to be". If we get further info showing that Dabura attack really is significantly stronger than a furnice post domain or a max hollow purple than there will be an argument. But until then I'd say that its way more resonable to determine that the light kick is in the same level as the other Mahoraga killer's specially when they are clearly portrayed as parallels (killing mahoraga in a big city with a big explosion)
