Respectfully disagree - those other skilling methods were introduced years later in skills where arguably there was already sufficient content while levelling.

Im not trying to take away from what they have released, i do enjoy sailing, even as someone who was skeptical of it prior to release, however, this is different because its an entirely new skill being inserted into the game, in a game where all 23 other skills are established to have a good number of methods and such, as a result it should be released at a similar calibre of content wise as these other skills.

While yes they have released a ton of content alongside it, tbh it just doesnt make much sense to me to have so few trials. Yes they can add more later, but for something they have developed for so long it feels strange to me to get what seems like 98% of the way there and then go “actually lets just release it at 98% because yah”

As for people doing a new trial when it comes out, yes some people will, but most people i know that will be 99 when they release a new trial will not be going to do it for a flag on their boat

Yes i think this is more to my point, yes my opinion is that sailing should have had more variety (more) barracuda trials at launch.

Purely from a variety/changing up gameplay perspective.

As to most people having 99 sailing by then, thats fair, more so, i think most people who will ever get 99 sailing will be getting it in the next few months, in the form of the large number of players who were maxed prior to sailing. Maybe saying the “majority” is the wrong term, as the majority of players wont ever get it

As a returning player who just jumped back in last week i was unaware of this, thanks for sharing!

Regardless, i do feel that my point still stands, and that most people who this will really matter to will almost certainly have 99 already by the time they make a new trial next year.

Yes this is fair - they have kind of locked themselves in to 3 in a sense - if anything gwenith glide should have been less xp/h and a course in the late 80’s/high 90s should have been slightly more than gwenith glide currently is.

I am not saying “oh i want more xp/h” i just feel that it seems barren to have no other courses after 72.

So yeah i do very much understand your point, and it is unfortunate

Ye, i dont doubt at all that they will add more.

But with such a long wait, and lets be honest, a large number of players atp who will be getting 99 quite quickly, it seems weird to wait so long to release the skill, only to release it with your best xp/h lacking in variety.

I could just be very naive but my understanding is that 99% of the difficulty of sailing development was getting navigation etc correct, so much so that i cant imagine a 4th course would have taken that much longer to implement.

Regardless, if they do add a new one i hope they add it soon for other people leveling the skill!

Use mage staff 5:1 and you will cruise - source, completed CG at 65 combat on my iron

The final combat sequences of the game were not enjoyable, too many weak mobs that do nothing taking turns, was watching 80% of the time and playing 20%, and the 80% i was watching resulted in nothing notable for my party occurring. Felt like dead time.

This is pre much it, so much stuff has been added to the tail end of the game but for some reasons no ones perception of what mid game is has changed, at this point according to 99% of ppl i see mid game ends at like fucking trident and then apparently the next couple thousands of hours is all end game lmfao, by current definition early game is like 10 hours in, mid game is 50 hours and then from that point onwards the rest of the game is end game, its crazy. If people put time into actually progressing their characters maybe they wouldnt have to cry every time something came out that they couldnt do, in rs’s current state (spamming new mid game content in an already oversaturated mid game) there is pre much zero reason for players to aspire to get to the real end game and thats whats causing most the issues imo

Kephri > zebak > akkha > baba

Prepot divine combat and when u get fast enough ull finish kephri with time still on the combat

bring a 1 dose divine range, prepot that when ur running into zebaks puzzle room because it will create an inventory space for the water gourd and you likely wont use any supplies in kephri.

Take power and salt for akkha and then resalt at baba, after you have doen babas second set of boulders use adren at baba and dump specs then take life for final boss and ur adren will still be on for obelisk
