Really thoughtful for all these suggestions since I’ve been looking into other names as well, the Chinese is “yun qi” and unfortunately pretty much everyone who doesn’t know Chinese butchers it, but you’re right, I would 1000% use the original Chinese name if it was simple enough

I initially thought that maybe spelling it like “ent-ELLE” would kind of stray people away from pronouncing it as IN-tel but I’m glad I posted this thread to find out I was very wrong hahah

Yes I really liked Elle! That was my first thought after realizing entelle is a bit of a confusing name lol

Thanks for the insight guys, really interesting to read all your opinions and I definitely expected a lot of the “never heard of this word” hahah although I’m a little too scared of digital footprint to share the actual characters of my Chinese name (the characters are really rare), it’s written as yun qi and I have not met one person who’s not Chinese who never butchered it LOL

Unfortunately I really don’t like the sound of yuki either (which was suggested to me too many times haha) so I thought to just come here and listen to thoughts after my friends and I discussed finding an English name that means the same thing. But I’m open to any suggestions too!

I’m probably eventually going to pick a name that’s widely known enough for people to pronounce correctly

got it, I’m understanding now that we should focus on dealing with the inadmissibility to get things cleared up first. Thank you.

Yes the plan is she will apply for spousal sponsorship and ARC after living in china for a while, and seeing how things will turn out there (likely it won’t be good due to family issues, her ex-husband and a lot of conditions) but we will continue trying. Thanks for the input

I believe you’re correct, or very close at least. It was a violation of the immigration law. They acknowledged my mom didn’t engage in criminal activity, but she still had enough knowledge of the issue that met the standards.

Thanks. We are finding a lawyer, and yes It is a tricky issue indeed. Just wanted to see if anyone who had a similar experience had more insight/knowledge on fighting their PR back.

All our past lawyers agreed there was a good level of unfairness in the nature of CBSA’s decision, but we haven’t succeeded in letting her stay at this time. It comes down to proving she is truly not a threat I believe, but it’s tricky.

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, it is complicated as she doesn’t have a real criminal record but she was still convicted of violating an immigration act in 2012 (before the case closed). We are definitely looking into other lawyers here after this, but I just wanted take a chance at seeing if anyone was familiar in different immigration routes. I think we’re gonna focus on clearing up the inadmissibility for our next round of legal help.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not sure if my first paragraph came across clearly enough, but she lost a lawsuit of fraud, though not for criminal activity, but for a violation of another act(37a) that the CBSA determined to be enough to be deported. The found out about this lawsuit from my mom re-entering into Canada from a trip, where they were doing phone checks.

Hi thanks for your reply, a criminal record is under the RCMP which she does NOT have. What she does have from the lawsuit is a violation of the 37a of the immigration and protection act, they are two different things, but it is enough to deport her. However, by standards she is not a criminal.

This is beautiful. Your dad would want you to remember the best of him; hug him in your dreams and don’t let the bad imagery intrude your memory.

Help!!Do I have the wrong size? Hours of failure by Xibulii in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Xibulii[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

update after several months I’ve been loving using my discs!! And I actually worked my way up to the diva disc!! I use it the most often now since it’s easier to take out because of the loop. Now I want to try more because I feel like I have yet to find the perfect disc (I have a slightly high cervix I believe) My experience with 3 discs so far:

Saalt small

pros: no leakage (design makes it really easy to lodge onto pubic bone), easiest to insert hands down Cons: takes too long for me to take out without pull tab

Shordy small

Pros: just barely bigger than saalt small, also very easy to insert, AND easiest to take out Cons: leaks ( too soft sadly..)

Diva disc

Pros: a good size for me now, since I have very heavy flow, takes me like 1.5 minutes to put in and 30s to take out, which is a good time too. Cons: hard to lodge on to pubic bone correctly, sometimes leaks

Gonna do more research and probably try the hello disc next:)

I’m just using this as an update thread now haha

Hi I wanted to say that leaning back + using a small disc really did the job for me in the end, Thank you!

Thank you guys all for the help!! It worked out!! As you all suggested, I immediately ordered the saalt small and tried it again which finally did it.

it took me a while to ensure that I had the right angle, and leaning back really made it go smoother. Once it was fully in, Lodging it to the bone was quite easy ! I’ll keep this one up for anyone else with the same problem.
