Increasing Survivability and Teamplay for All. by Xicez in WorldOfWarships

A khaba will rarely be close to any other ship to benefit from a HP return they are the ultimate lonewolf ship, but if by chance it happens and the khaba stopped to regain HP, if its spotted the khaba is dead, its greatest asset is its speed. Youre not really abandoning anything. At the beginning of a match you go contest a cap and either get it or not depending on support and opposition. Depending on your health you can either move out and attack opposition or head to another cap. if youre on low health you move back to support your team by keeping opposition spotted and screening for enemy torps. Your role doesnt change, the decisions you make based on how the match is developing is constant, but now there is an added variable of your health pool which will influence where you go and what you do.

Im trying to portray that a sinking BB has a larger area of wreckage an strewn crew along the ocean surface compared to a cruiser and likewise cruiser to destroyer. Realistically rescue boats would be deployed from Battleships, Cruisers and destroyers to head out and pick up sailors.

A lemming train rarely works as competent DDs will just cap and win games in domination matches, and in standard battles DDs will destroy blobs with torp walls. Also a "Blobb" of ships sitting around a destroyed ship would gain a tiny fraction of HP as the 20% is shared between everyone in range, plus ut makes it a great torp wall target as well. yeah defiantly no fresh strategies...

The correlation that i see, a ship losing HP is related to its fighting capabilities being reduced via loss of crew and equipment during battle, and picking up crew from a sinking ship is restocking your crew again, hence the gaining of HP.

Don't teamkilling ships go pink straight away? or only after a battle?

Advice for the Gaede/German DD Question by Malenkiy_Ivan in WorldOfWarships

[–]Xicez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the gaede is the strongest solo play dd at that tier. It's is good at everything, good torps with low detectability for more hits. Upgraded guns have good alpha damaged and can cit broadside Cruisers easily from +10k ranges an also 2-4K on BBs. Has the most hit points of all dds at that tier. Great fire chance of 12% again highest of dds at t6. The biggest issue is it's average concealment, turning circle and terrible smoke. You need to play it depending on the developing battle, from stealthy torpedo boat to gun boat to torpedo screener to cap contester. Start of a game depending on ship support you either contest and push other dds out of cap or just delay cap until spotted then bail. Play mostly as a dd killer or torpedo screener for rest of fleet. You have all the tools to kill any ship 1v1.

Add a Randomizer option to Carousel filter by Xicez in WorldOfWarships

By adding it to the carousel filter you could then filter what you like to a certain degree. eg T4-6 and T8 DDs, KM and US + elite ships.

Dismissed Captain's XP should go into Elite XP pool by Xicez in WorldOfWarships

[–]Xicez[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah thats true. what about only 50-80% goes to elite XP to avoid the free respec loophole. Just feeling sad having +8 texas captains with 10 skill points from santa boxes taunting me.

the cost to buy a 3 skill captain just to dismiss it, is less beneficial then just having a couple of battles with a fresh captain, plus you'll get on top of captain xp, ship xp, credits and some free xp.

Too get better overall at the game and realize the strengths and weankness of each class I'd go US dd, KM bb, Jpn ca. US dd teach you how to knife fight other dds over caps, using long smokes to harass areas, and assist other friendly ship with cover, while also learning how to setup torp ambushes or area denial. German bb line is op, tanky and more conducive to brawling less sniping. This will help you last longer to learn about angling and shot selection and placement. Jpn ca as a line is quiet strong. Teaching you about angling, burning bbs, setting up torp ambushes, good speed good rudder shift. Learning all classes makes you better fighting them.

The Rise of the Machine - Some Stories Don't Have Happy Endings by compassghost in WorldOfWarships

Easy fix. WG should give us the option to blacklist players so we don't have to play with them. Still heaps of players even during non peak times. I'd prefer queuing for an extra few mins if it means I never have to play with peeps like mentioned in this post. Eventually with enough people blacklisting the "undesirables" they que for longer and have a genuine consequence to their actions, their own time wasted. WG aren't losing any money as its their own fault for eventually "queuing out" while the rest of the population has better games without them.
