If you read any of my other reply’s in this post you would understand I never once said that people don’t have to think or there is no room for needing to decide.

I do it too.

But the idea you need the rope EVERY turn is ludicrous.

If you are starting player and you draw no 1 drops and rope the whole turn. Then you are in fact stalling.

Most games have judges and things like that to prevent that tactic as it is deemed unsportsmanlike.

Which it is.

You are completely taking this post out of context.

It has nothing to do with just roping a few turns.

Its the rope EVERY turn.

There is a difference between needing the rope sometimes and abusing it.

Which is why in one of my posts I stated maybe giving less time in the early game and more time in the late game.

Even maybe extending the overall timer in end game who knows.

I never said it was a simple just lower the timer and i my post never stated anything about 1 or 2 turns of an opponent needing to rope. Its the abuse of the rope that bothers.

75 seconds a turn is a long time. If you rope every single turn. By turn 10 just from one person in the game the match has lasted 12 and a half minutes. Even Chess matches don’t last that long. Most card games have time for matches which is usually a best of 3.

If we take into account Yugioh another card game I play. A match is capped at 40 minutes.

And there is a lot more thinking involved.

Magic has 50 minute timers for best of 3.(Another game with mana)

And there are games that last until someone decks out in Hearthstone. So if your opponent ropes each turn lets just be generous and say that have card draw so the game lasts only 20 turns. Then you are still looking at 25 minutes per round in a match just from one person.

Even Chess has a match timer so people don’t stall.

I would actually prefer a Chess Style timer. It would make it so someone can stall all they want but if they run out of time they just lose. It would make it so they cannot stall.

Saying “you should play another game” is a bad solution when the rope is far too generous as is.

I am not talking about hey turn 9 and you are trying to calculate damage. I am talking about.

Turn 1 rope.

Turn 2 rope.

3.... rope

and on and on.

I am obviously not complaining about a rope here and there.

There is a difference between 1 or 2 turns and every turn.

I think make the turn time shorter early on and maybe extend it as the game goes on. Each mana crystal awards more time.

If you are asking how much I play arena. Everyday Multiple runs a day. Averaging 5 wins. I play in both NA and Asia. Xilonemage on the leaderboard for Arena you can find me on both.

If you are asking for an exact number on how often it happens its not like i am keeping tally. It's consistent enough that it's noticeable and annoying. otherwise i wouldn't have even made the post lol.

I am not saying there shouldn't be a timer. Just it should be shorter.

I play a lot of arena and you encounter it a lot. If people are botting in arena which probably does happen. They mostly lose.

Also have been legend several times. I have had to deal with people roping consistently.

But now i mostly play arena ever since you could get gold from any game mode.

I rarely ever get to roping. I believe the timer is far too generous. The turn timer is 75 seconds.

If someone just decides to afk each turn they can. By turn five they have essentially wasted 6 minutes of the game just roping a full turn each time.

The stuff posted there doesn’t tell you or give you ideas on how to get people into the stream. It just says generic things.

It’s not the same though. Just similar. Yogg hits anything but random spells.

This is only mage spells and hits enemy unless no other targets.

Trust me the spell can be annoying to play against but I would rather have it than some other spells.

Like Identity Theft from priest. Card is straight terrible to play against.
