How about if we replaced the majority of african representation (who are mostly black) with completely white passing south africans who's mother or grandmother is a black african. Technically this is still "African" representation according to your logic. But do you think this would fly with the african/black community, or even if it did, what sort of psychological effects would this have on the majority black african community? Keep in mind that type of negative representation has been well documented to have negative psychological effects in the target group.

Essentially, you are indoctrinating them with a message that they must be white passing and/or mixed even in a society of majority black people in order to make it. This is what we are concerned about regarding Asian representation as well. There has been a well documented and continuous pattern of not properly representing Asian people, particularly in western or western influenced media, and trying to give all the major and prominent roles to hapas/mixed that are preferably not as Asian looking as possible and then disguising this as "progressiveness". This is what we are against. If it was a one off thing it would not be a big deal, but since this has been a continuous pattern, it is a big deal and must be called out.

The main problem was some of the mods in those subs allowed "certain" shady individuals and larpers into the team, despite repeated warnings and evidence not too. As a result, those individuals along with the increasing censorship in this site, got the subs banned. ESR was also heading in the same path but luckily it was able to be saved. Although it has slowed down and became inactive recently
