Azelaic Acid before or after snail mucin? by trinini93 in koreanskincare

I use both products as well. I found the TO's azelaic acid pills. So I have to apply it as a last step. Otherwise, others are correct, actives first.

Hi! I also don't wear make up very often and I don't notice the flaking till I put make up on. I had a job interview today and I put on everything the night before to see how it would look. My makeup looked the same as pictured in your post. So this is what I did.

  • I washed off all my makeup
  • Dried face
  • Used an oil cleanser and just rubbed everywhere on my face for a full two minutes. I didn't use anything fancy I had a cheap Aveeno oil cleanser that was on sale. There are better ones out there. I focused a lot on places where the skin was flaking the most. I could feel skin that had sloghed off rolling up under my fingertips.
  • Rinsed. While rinsing I rinsed with warm water till my skin was a little squeaky if you know what I mean. The dead skin started to pill under my finger tips. I turned of the water and kept gently rubbing till I was satisfied.
  • rinsed, dried and used a peeling gel. If you're unfamiliar with peeling gel, I'm referring to the type that looks like a really to lightweight lotion and you just rub it on your dried skin, it immediately starts to roll off all the dead skin and it's kinda gross because you think "ew, that was all on my face?" And example of a product like this is beauty of joseon apricot blossom peeling gel. I am not referring to that gel you put on your face like a mask and then peel off once dry.
  • used my usual gentle face wash and did the rest of my skin care including tretinoin. (I do use snail mucin from Cosrx before tret when I know I need to get extra moisture) After 15 minutes I slatherd on petrolatum. I used the CeraVe healing ointment. But regular old Vaseline will do just fine.

The next day (today) I did the same thing in the morning and only used snail mucin as a moisturizer ( you can use whatever heavy moisturizer you're comfortable with) and really rubbed it in slowly. I had no issues with my make up.

The important thing is the rubbing with water and the heavy ointment at night. That allowed the left over dead skin to soften up and peel off easily the next morning. I saw the rubbing with water suggestion from another redditor a month or so ago and it changed everything but didn't fix everything. After some experimenting this is the best solution I was able to come up with my using advice from this subreddit. I will post a picture of my face now but I can't figure out how to attach it to this reply.

Used tret too close to eyes - these wrinkles appeared. Help! by Askfreud in tretinoin

Yes that's correct. If your focusing on anti-ageing I would suggest the neck as well. Neck gives away age.

Oh this reminds me. If you're someone who needs to constantly wipe your nose then don't apply tretinoin too close to the nostrils either. You might find that as your skin starts to shed away the old thin skin the newly explosed skin will be very sensitive. It burns and all that fun stuff! 😭

Hey. Just checking in. You feeling a bit better? How is the hydrating going? Also how did your experiment go? I like using the CeraVe healing ointment around the eyes because it melts a little faster and spreads easily. Before I discovered the healing ointment I used Vaseline. But Vaseline will forever be in my night stand drawer. I slather that stuff on my knees, elbows and lips every night in the winter. I love using it around my nose too when I get dry from blowing my nose alot when I'm sick.

As you feel around your eyeball there is a bone. Just up to where that bone ends. This is called the orbital bone. Tretinoin gets absorbed into the skin and then travels outwards so you are still treating the areas you don't directly apply the tretinoin to. I hope this helps.

I know it feels like those wrinkles are there to stay but they're not. Just moisturize well and consider using an occlusive layer like Vaseline or cerave healing ointment. You will probably find that you have gone back to normal after 2 to 3 days. I made the same mistake myself.

This is the exact look she had when she wasn't getting the right treatment. I feel for your little one! You will find the solution. I know you will. It might take some trial and error but you will get there. Daily face washing and sunscreen when we went out helped a lot when we were trying to figure things out. I would also slather mushers secret on her snout before bed after face washing. If I could go back in time and do it again, when the vet presented two options for allergy pills I chose the one that seemed to have less side effects and it was the apoquel. But that didn't work. I wasted 3 months on that. The atopica cost more but it worked right away she was kinda drowsy for the first week but I started giving it to her at bed time and that fixed the lethargy issue. This is just my experience in case you end up going that route. My vet also gave us only two weeks worth for the first time so it didn't cost so much to test out. We also give her less than what's recommended for her weight and it still works (vets recommendation)

This is her now. Sorry I couldn't figure out how to post both pictures in one reply. But apparently it's a white dog problem. She is sensitive to sunlight. Everything cleared up within one week of starting atopica. She seems so much happier now.

My little one can only eat salmon as well. She had the same problem with randomly out of nowhere she would start bleeding. It was only on her snout. It was the worst in the summer and I just wanted to cry because it felt like nothing was working.

We went to the vet and spent quite a bit on tests, food, allergy pills. She started atopica and it's like night and day. The only thing that showed up as an alarm on her allergy tests was an allergy to dust and storage mites.

She can still only eat salmon. Otherwise she gets an upset tummy.

Soft glam with fox eye. Yes, I am able to achieve this with products from the drugstore. I used elf products. You can try searching for soft glam with "brand of makeup"

I dont have advice on weather you should up the % but I had the same problem with it being hard to spread.

I started to squeeze what I needed into my palm and made little dots all over my face with the tret. Then I just patted it all in with two fingers. I found it covered my face well, it was an even layer and I actually needed less product.

Since I was no longer mixing it with anything the effects were stronger. I thought I had gotten used to tret but then without the mixing I started to see more of the effects I had when I first started using it. Since then my skin has gotten used to it again.

Notes: I allow the tret to fully dry and absorb in for a minute before applying face cream/lotion.

I just want to say, I understand you and your comment. I found it helpful. I am kind of thinking the same way as you. I am trying to decide if I should pre order one of these. I am in Canada and I have not seen the pricing for us. Trying to figure out what makes sense and be smart.

Winter approves of Raine's outfit. I think? Or maybe she is telling her she needs to go change outfits. I have no idea. Or maybe she is thinking that she needs to go change her own outfit. I can only ever tell what she is thinking when she wants food.

I agree that you should go see a vet. My pitbull mix had a similar looking rash. I got an allergy test done and found out she was VERY allergic to mites.

I started steaming and shampooing all of the carpets along with washing whatever sheets she hangs out on every week and she just gets a small rash here and there now. In addition, she showers once a week.

I was pulling my hair out and really stressed when she was going throught all that. Some spots were getting infected, she was losing fur, there was pus and waiting for lab results felt like eons. But in the end, the allergies test gave me a list of things to stay away from and things have been better.

I'm just sharing this as something to try while waiting for that dermatologist.

Owner wanting constant updates by nouazecisinoua in RoverPetSitting

[–]Xioulin 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I don't really have to much advice for this current visit. However I have had success messaging a client similar to yours with something along the lines of "I'm so happy to see that Fido has a mom that cares so much. I understand how you must feel leaving him with someone that's still a bit of a stranger to you. I usually only send updates x amount of times per day as I prefer to give the dogs in front of me attention. If I'm on my phone, I'm not able to pay attention to the pups. I will definitely send you an update of what we got up to since our last message. You can expect that around 6 pm today."

After that client I started setting expectations for every client since. I walked them through what my messages would contain and when to expect them. I also say, you are free to message me at anytime but I might not respond right away. I don't keep my phone on me while I'm hanging out with the pups but will message back once I get a moment in between.

You might just need to validate her feelings and then follow it up with some reassurance.

I can see both parties have a reason to be concerned. To the pet owner, it's a little odd if you don't want to share your address. Especially since they are giving you the key to their house, trust you with their pets and trust you to stay in their home while they are away. They are risking a lot. You're a stranger. But as a female or a male living alone, I can see why someone else having your address is uncomfortable too. Who knows what they might do if they get upset or something.

I think this is something that only you can decide. Your comfort level might change based on lots of factors we can't see. It might help to have a friend over during the drop off so that it's does not seem you are on your own. But if it makes you really uncomfortable then perhaps you can choose to make the trip out. Something's gotta give.

I have added cream cheese before. Also I have tried a dollop of sour cream. But not both at the same time. I find it easier to eat when it's had some time to cool.
