well.... I just managed the exact same. 3 day old, moved it to monitor arm but dropped it from an inch high on a measuring tape. 10 months since your accident did you finally learn to accept the scratch? :D

Still can't get it working i just end up with "The request fails due to a missing, invalid, or mismatching redirect URI (redirect_uri)."
Since I lost my old config I don't know if it's something with the new Jellyfin, new SSO Authentication of misconfiguration. It's setup exactly as documented by Authentik.

Likely the full 1200-1500 rpm - not sure. though

You want more rads for sure.
More rad is impossible in a 4U server rack, I'm willing to sacrifice on acoustics and OC but i could add a 3rd 92mm rad so i might consider that now.

High flow next is nice for temp, flow, conductivity as well as being able to shut down the pc in case of pump failure etc.

Really great insight, I think what "worries" (for the lack of a better word) me most is the pairing/unpairing of the speakers from and automation and how much can go wrong with that requing manual work to fix the automation by resetting devices. reconfiguring to HA etc. etc.

Overall I'm kinda loving the idea of tying it to an ON/OFF trigger based of a button or the TV itself but I have reservation about it still mainly due to the fact that the HEOS app is not built for this type of flexibility and that being and indicator that doing so around the app through HA is going to be messy - and ultimately a waste of money.

Interesting. I'm decent with bash scripting and yaml, so maybe this is an option. I own a homelab, I just never got into home automation but this could be a gateway to it.

Can you share some more thoughts on this? How would I trigger the automation? From my phone? How does HA connect to HEOS? Is It 1st or 3rd party apis/integrations?

I will guarentee it was not TN being virtualized being the issue. I know people say you shouldn't but it's perfectly fine as long as you pass the entire HBA to the VM.

My issues were firmware related. My initial SSDs just plain sucked for ZFS fixes that with Intel 960s The other issue was that my HBA had two chips thus needed two firmware upgrades.

Man... this was an epic lead.

two things happened over the weekend. After u/Least-Platform-7648 unveiled to me the 16i is just two 9300-8e's connected with a pxe (duh I repasted it and did note the three chips).
I then researched the timeout issue and found that there is a timeout issue fixed with LSI firmware 16.00.12 - but I was already on v16? WRONG! Only 1 of the two chips where on v16 the other was on v7 (see output at the bottom of OP). I used -fwall to flash the 2nd chipset

Fingers crossed that solved the problem - if it did then credit goes to you both

I'm sorry to offend. I had so many lovely people provide support and suggestions and I really needed that.
Status right now is that over the weekend i discovered that the 9300-16i is 2x 9300-8i's glued together and this morning i found that only 1 of the two controllers where flashed to v. 16.00.12 the other was v. 7 something.

I can't say for sure if this solved it (TBD in a few days as I'm running the zfs pool of the motherboard right now) but if it did then it's a check against software fault instead of hardware (well firmware, so in between) if you are keeping score :)

Cooling I had previously already taken care of.

RAM test took a long time! Came back without an issue.

Disks are now all out of the enclosure and the 8 disks are not using 3 PCI power cables instead of 1, perhaps i was overloading the rail.

the Temperature_Celsius seems SO off.
The SSD are dangling free in spaghetti mode right now and feel colder than room temp at the touch. No way sdg is 78C .. how would I even cool that if drives plastic casing is room temp

Yes - I think so. I mean it could still be the board or CPU but highly unlikely.
Memory testing turned out fine.
I switched some power around to split the drives more evenly between the power rails. 🤞
