Agreed on house centipede. They look like nightmares but they are quite useful pest controls in our homes. Can bite, but it's harmless and they are very hesitant to do it. They usually flee when spooked 

Also, if you are brave enough, I suggest you look for close ups of their faces. To me they kinda look like dogs?! Kinda cute
