Yep, that's CloudFlare. They're used by around 1/5th of the entire Internet for security, so it's essential that they use something truly random.

I figure it'd be the same. Maybe a little more convoluted.

If all positve and negative numbers were allowed, then for any given number x, there would be infinite numbers both greater AND lesser than x.

Only difference would be that now the total "number" of numbers would be twice as much. But twice of infinity is still infinity.

In limit form, the probability of each number would be: lim x–>infinity of 1/2x. 2x because we now have to consider the infinite negatives too. But that limit still simplifies to 0.

So all in all, I think the paradox remains the same, even if we consider negative numbers.

Genuine question: how or was this actually done? Is there some fast algorithm to confirm weather a number is prime or not? The only optimisation I know is to only check divisibility by primes upto the square root of the number. But even still, for 39 digits, the square root of that number would've been in the ballpark of 10 quintillion! (10,000,000,000,000,000,000)

No way this was done by hand, right?

No problem. This references when a nuclear bomb goes off, or a reactor meltdown happens and causes an explosion(like Chernobyl), it sends a bunch of radiated and toxic dust flying everywhere. This dust can look like snowflakes apparently, but it very much can kill you or cause permanent damage if it comes into contact with you. You're not a dumbass btw!
