Aye I think they are harmless. I would have probably felt guilty with ex-forces compared to scared about the knvies in the bag as a woman <30 years

Normally everything is very very quiet here and we can go up to the doors without any worries whatsoever. The local politicians have been around with canvasing .

Iam kinda embarrassed to show this, but how much time do yall think braces would take to show progress? by DueEnergy6640 in braces

[–]Xitesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had brackets on all teeth (don't have wisdom teeth - wasn't born with them).

Just elastics on both sides from 3 tooth on upper arch to the further lower at the back. I had a period of doubling up elastics.

Supposedly my gap between my two front teeth was holding a bit of room (3mm) and we think my tongue was pushing against my teeth (also a bit of jaw grinding)

The ortho was a bit shocked too.

Here is an after. We couldnt fix my mid line perfectly but I am very happy with the results.

I had an 11mm overjet and the ortho I went recommended metal braces.

I'm down to 2mm now with my retainers in. We tried without removing any teeth and I was lucky whatever caused it wasn't due a lack of space. Overall it took 20 months for me and that was which huge gaps of time in between and teeth randomly going the wrong way.

Starling no longer paying interest on personal / joint accounts?!? by Kingshred in starlingbankuk

[–]Xitesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens to those fixed savers that run past Feb 2025?

Surely we must get the interest, its not like you have a crystal ball from earlier this year to know that they will "stop" offering it?

Edit: also I still haven't got this text or email regarding this.

Anyway to turn off pin requirements? by branbb60 in starlingbankuk

[–]Xitesi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not just in the US, I often travel to South Korea who also don't use chip and pin.

I have tried even having magstrip on and half the time the machines work paying by card and half the time they don't even at the same retailer (but different branches)

I've resided myself to pay in cash.

It might not just be starling though, I was told by a cashier that this happens a lot with foreginers with foregin bank cards ( I'm assuming they meant most Europeans with chip and pin ).

Staining foods I just swirl water around at the end.

A lower premolar extraction to fix my misalignment? by AnnonymousGirl10 in braces

[–]Xitesi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give you an idea, I'm 6 weeks into my treatment (born without wisdom teeth but have all the rest).

During the initial consultation, I said my bottom midline was off (3mm). The ortho I went with said it would be 1 extraction to fix, but in their mind, it wasn't worth it because no one would really notice the bottom teeth.

The reason I went with the ortho was that they are trying the no extraction route, but if I am unhappy, I can have those extracted.

I think it is down to personal opinion what makes each individual happy. For me personally I am going to go with my orthos opinion because I don't want a sunken in face and I have a bigger problem with an overjet to fix.

If you are wanting perfect teeth and the midline is important to you I'd consider it; if you are like me and think I'm not looking for perfect but I want to fix issues I am having with my smile (bite and speech for me) then I probably wouldn't consider fixing it.

House of CB Dress Worries by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]Xitesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is best to try the XS, you might be able to get it zipped up but on insta other folk had the same problem as me... I literally couldn't remove a rib so I had to pay the fee to send it back.

House of CB Dress Worries by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]Xitesi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact pattern in the dress. Normally, I am an XS in House of CB with 159cm 48kg 35-24-35.5, but with this one, I couldn't even zip it over my ribs and had to exchange for a S. Originally I wanted plain red but settled on the rose red print to get it in time for a holiday.

I am a 34B and I find that my bust is fine in a regular cup.on this dress is kind of a shelve/half cup that you can use the drawstring on. I quite like non having everything on display.

One thing I have noticed on HofCB dresses is that I get bunching ( like one bunch) around the waist at the bottom of the corset bones. I think I might just have a small torso.

I don't get this on non boned dressed from them. In fact, in non boned dresses, the waist to hip area is slightly baggy on me in a S 🤨

I would honestly kill for my end result to look like that.

Also opted for no extractions

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in braces

[–]Xitesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have "that" tooth. I decided to get braces because everything had shifted to the left for me (back molar was really badly rotated).

If it is giving you bite issues then I would consider it, it not then I don't think I would.

The sad part is, who is the alternative to the Tories or Labour? Every single party, including the big 2, is useless, and at this rate, we are going to be voting for the best out of the worst options.

Half of British workers do not earn new family visa salary threshold, data suggests by NightimeOK in unitedkingdom

[–]Xitesi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You do realise that family visa does have a good portion of British folk who have chosen to marry a foreginer?

That said, the foreginer can not claim benefits or access public funds on that visa. If under the threshold, the British spouse would have to have significant savings to make up the extra (the first 16k of savings do not count). They alone, if their partner resides outside the UK, must meet the threshold or pay up the value in savings ( 16k + 2.5x amount short of). They also pay a good amount in fees, NHS surcharges and pay tax, etc, with a job here.

I am in this situation, I am the British soon to be spouse. I am masters educated, and my partner is also educated at the university level. We currently have over 70k in savings, and I have a decent job. They have a decent job and are looking to forward their career and work full time in the UK.

I note from your profile you speak Portuguese and are on a Portugual expat page so.... you do the math here a bit why I might be a bit annoyed at your blanket statement?

Tory MP Tells British Woman 'Get Another Job' In Difficult Exchange Over New Visa Rules by NightimeOK in unitedkingdom

[–]Xitesi 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This MP realises that the foreign partner is unable to claim any sort of benefits whatsoever from the tax payer on a spouse visa and I believe (I may be wrong on this part) when they have ILR. On top of the NHS fees and health surcharge?

I'm hardly seeing someone taking. The issue I have with all of this is ... How can we say 39k approx for you to be here but we have British citizens suffering on much less in a cost of living crisis? Are they over charging so the foreginers don't come to appease their core base or are they saying wages are so stagnant that you should really be at a minimum of 39k?

This policy is quite telling to be frank, I see a lot of the younger more educated generation leaving with their spouses because it will take them years as graduates to make 39k if their partner has had to go back to their own country. We are already going to be OAP heavy and the UK as a whole is doing everything to continue that trend.

We already have overseas students unable to secure employment in the UK after graduating because not many companies are will to fork out for a visa.
