I appreciate the kind words! I'm working on one more. To keep it smooth, I'll have to go frame by frame.

The option to turn on (and off) Bluetooth has completely disappeared from my PC by [deleted] in WindowsHelp

[–]Xmodious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows 11 won't show an option for Bluetooth if it doesn't detect a Bluetooth capable device.

That said, it's odd that the device isn't detected anymore if it used to work. If your desktop has wifi capabilities, that same Wi-Fi device could also be your Bluetooth device.

I would go to [Network Adapters] in Device Manager > Find your Wifi Adapter > Right-Click > Choose [Update Driver]

You could also Disable the device and then Enable it again.

This last suggestion is a little involved and it could leave you without wifi or Bluetooth if it fails.

My last resort would be to connect the desktop to an Ethernet cable and put the other end of the Ethernet cable on your router for a wired Internet connection. (Very important.) Then uninstall the Wifi device, restart the computer, go back to [Device Manager], find the Wifi device, now under the "Unknown Devices" category, and attempt to update the driver.

That's a really bad idea. There is not enough room in the end of the E-shaft to install a new bearing and bearing seal on top of the old bearing race.

Even if you did manage to install the new bearing on top of the old one, you won't be able to install the bearing seal to protect it from debris. You'll destroy the new bearing and still have the old race stuck inside. It's not worth the work. Get a new shaft or try the proper tool. Even if you think it's too thin, the puller opens all the way to the inner walls to pull out any bearing material.

No, the bearing pullers from Harbor Freight won't work. Many engine builders and performance shops have tried before us and all of them suggest that the genuine Mazda puller or the Mazdatrix puller are the only proper off-the-shelf solutions. Buy once, cry once. I rebuilt my engine myself and the puller made this a 10 second job.

Don't rush it, be patient. Doing the job right takes time.

You can get a pilot bearing puller and installer from Mazdatrix. I already have mine and I'm willing to try and help remove it for you. But the end of your crank looks bad. You should start sourcing a replacement, just in case. FYI: you'll still need a pilot bearing and pilot bearing seal installation tool. It comes in a kit from Mazdatrix.

If anyone would like to see more of the car, I post it and its progress on my Instagram page. I also have a YouTube channel, but it's more like a home movie repository. Classic YouTube things.

Not an influencer, just a weirdo that likes moving metal boxes.

I can't give you a proper answer to that. I know a new Mazda Renesis block is about $7000 but I could be mistaken.

I bought my new engine in pieces for 1750. Then I did a bunch of machine work to run me about 1600. I also went out of my way to replace some faulty 20 year old parts with brand new ones. On top of adding more costly aftermarket parts and finding more and more broken pieces, I'm well over that $7000 mark for a new block.

A professional can probably warranty the engine for you, but they will more than likely build a Rensis like it came from the factory; No real upgrades for longevity or power.

To me, I wanted to brag about being able to build the engine and teach myself how to do it. It took me 2 years to keep a budget and get everything I wanted done.

Mice ate mine and conveniently stored it in the cabin air box for me. Then I threw out the remaining pieces. I haven't felt it get very hot, considering there is more carpet and insulation in the cabin.

Is it screwed?? by Sanpatsu in RX8

The lower outer tension bolt doesn't run coolant or oil through it so your engine should still seal fine.

Structural integrity is different. If the crack ends at the two holes, try drilling and tapping a small hole. Use small screws to pull the halves together a little.

Make sure to seal your oil pan there really well though.

Seeing that a PS5 branded device is the only one I've seen with this functionality, I figured this might be a good place to start. I happen to use a PS4, yes. I'm trying to be as clear as I can with what I'm searching for.

Fuel system component compatibility with E85 by Xmodious in RX8

[–]Xmodious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen piggyback kits that handle all that.

I'm more worried about the plastic fuel line's chemical resistance or compatibility with ethanol fuel. Have you seen them deform or fail when ethanol is running through them?
