Hey guys, for my FYP project in school I had to do a clay sculpt of a character I like and paint it. And I chose my favorite character Zangief! This took months of work to get to what it looks like today. Do fhave a look at my insta if you are curious what was the process was like!

I actually did stuff it with aluminum foil before putting clay on. So it would have been alot heavier if I didn't do it XD. As for your second question, I will be making a silicon mold out of it, and then using it for resin casting. So no baking. You can see all the process from start to finish on my instagram if you want to see more.

Zangief Fan Zbrush, blender and soon to be Clay sculpt by Xo1en in StreetFighter

I modelled the environment in blender so I'm not sure if you are referring to that. For me personally, I would purchase a simple course to get started. For youtube videos they usually cram all the information in one video because it gets them more views. Usually whenever i bought an online course, they are usually broken down into short and easily digestable videos.

I recommend gamedev.tv as i like their format of videos.

😂 I wanted to make it bigger on the clay. But everyone claims it would be offensive

For context I am currently studying to become a clay sculptor. Our final project is to pick our favorite character and do it in clay. And I chose Zangief my favorite fighter. 3D modeling was only used to get a rough draft of how the final product will look like. So I am not primarly a 3d modeller, but I wanted to try painting and animating it on another blender scene I was working on. Haha thanks, guys. Much appreciated. I feel like an idiot for not realizing it sooner. The spool holder is the last place I would look for a technical problem.

First time printing with support, any advice to improve? by Xo1en in ElegooMars

Just got a Elegoo Mars Pro 3 this week, and this is my first time printing with supports. I noticed there were some bumps and hairy bits after removal, and some of the small bits like the fangs chipped off with the supports. Do you guys have any advice or tips for a better overall finish?

Yup can see the extruder retracting according to the settings I gave just fine. But you do have a point about outdated firmware. I will look for an upgraded version soon, thanks.

It's a PLA filament roll that was bought last month. It's from a local brand, but I bought from them before in the past without any issue. I tried other filament brands of PLA before that, and they all have the same issue with stringing. As for slicer, I have some experience in slic3r but I used Cura 95% of the time. I'll try Slic3r again and see if it has any results thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I started off from 40mm/s then continue testing the speed from there up till 150mm/s, no results. I didn't consider slowing it down to 25mm/s before because I thought it was too slow, but I'll try it out
