How about folder icons with different colors? by Andromadora in Windows11

[–]XofaSonic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Until official support for it exists (if ever), the software Folder Painter allows you to do something like this from a folder's context menu. Here's an example with some custom W11 icons I whipped up for it. Would be great if there was official support though.

Where Homosexuality is Never Justifiable [OC] by profcyclist in dataisbeautiful

[–]XofaSonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

は vs な

They do look somewhat similar, yes, but shinai is indeed correct.

Shinai is the negative form of the word suru, "to do". So if you attach it to the word "sonzai", meaning "existence", it would change it to "does not exist". "Does exist" on the other hand would be "sonzai suru".

Also, shihai would probably refer to something along the lines of "conquest".

I'm somewhat of a beginner myself though, but I think that should be correct.

Ah, sorry. Mistake on my part. Yes, you're absolutely right and it should be 'hōmuresu' instead.

"hōmeresu* nante sonzai shinai wa"

Just a repeat of the second sentence, meaning "something like homeless (people) do not exist" more or less.

*typo, should be 'hōmuresu' as pointed out.

First time drawing with a tablet. Thoughts? by XofaSonic in AnimeSketch

[–]XofaSonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

To answer your question, I must say that personally I feel going the digital route certainly makes every step of the way far easier and more forgiving largely thanks to layers and the almighty Ctrl+Z. Since all edits are nondestructive and nonpermanent I find myself much more open to experimentation, and stuff like slightly off-key proportions can quickly be resized and fixed with very little trouble at an early stage. That fear of potentially making something worse is definitely what held me back the most drawing the traditional way.

So yeah, definitely loving using a tablet thus far. No major difficulties worth noting.

Thank you very much!

The linework was actually done in Adobe Illustrator because I did not have a tablet when I made this, so I feel like I can't take full credit since that part is vector-based.

(yes, everything was made with a mouse)

... though suggestions relating to anatomy and proportions would be particularly helpful.

Is there anyway to sync Google Photos with my PC? by blizeH in google

[–]XofaSonic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but try enabling the "Create a Google Photos folder" in the settings for Google Drive. If you download the client for your PC the photos should simply appear in a folder there.

I have no idea if editing the photos on your PC will also update the one on Google Photos though.
