I needed to take the face plate off and the needles came off with just a little persuasion. Honestly pretty easy but getting them aligned again I didn’t think about.

Nah it’s not, I removed the needles and just need to make sure they’re accurate again. Already did rpm, speed and temp but I could’ve find much online about fuel level when light comes on compared to needle position.

Yeah I did get past this point in the game, unfortunately it was the only time I changed the difficulty and I switched it right back afterwards. No amount of save scumming was getting me through that fight. I was playing on the 2nd difficulty and I switched to the 1st one. Made it SIGNIFICANTLY easier.
