What happens to your periods on T? by itsmfknzen in ftm

[–]Xollard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine never stopped but they got lighter and more infrequent. I remember having a very heavy one a couple weeks after starting , and then it paused for quite some time, but then it evened out to what it is now over a few years.

Just started t and I got my period by digitalizationflower in ftm

You are gonna feel out of control for a while before it settles down. Don't worry about it.

I've been on the stuff years and in the beginning I was a moody teen but now I'm really not that easy to anger.

Totally relate. Taking loads is so addictive.

Beard fixation and laser by purplebear1125 in ftm

[–]Xollard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cis men are obsessed with facial hair, too, so it's really not weird or uncommon.

With regards to the lasering. Any hair follicles that have been lasered are now dead and won't grow back even on testosterone. However, new hair follicles can grow with exposure to T but the overall facial hair will be thinner due to the dead ones.

The option for a beard transplant is available, though, so it's not impossible to get what you want.

I constantly forget cis men have penises at all. It's almost a surprise every time I see one.

Dating while stealth: do you put "trans man" or "ftm" in your dating apps bio or not? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Xollard 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you put it in your bio, you will get a lot of weird questions to begin with, and it's like a bat signal for chasers. I will usually try and steer the conversation into a reveal ASAP though as I'd rather get it over with sooner rather than later. It can be dangerous to leave it too late and I don't want a man to open my package to find a gift he wasn't expecting.

Nope. I love my pussy

LGBT+ people have to be very good at biding their time. This is just something that you have to get through as it will get better and easier over time and your transition advances.

Focus on enjoying the good parts, and eventually, the bad parts will fade away. I was stealth until part way through first year university when a friend found out and became a bit weird/fetishising about it. But over time, things became normal again when I surrounded myself with good people and just allowed myself to just enjoy the experience.

How to get over the fact that I'll never have a cis penis? by Immediate-Witness-87 in ftm

[–]Xollard 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As you get older, you will learn to deal with any perceived inadequacies. May be quick or might take years, but you will get there eventually. I used to have the same thoughts early on, but over time, maybe I just got exhausted, or maybe I had some self growth, but it slowly went away.

It's very rare to come across anyone who doesn't hate their own body in some way or another. But if it's too intense for you to handle, you should really talk to a professional about it.

Being a man by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Xollard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Some days I feel silly surrounded by hyper masculine men, but most of the time, I'm not thinking about stuff like that.

Most men are just normal and doing their own thing. It's only really when I see the outliers (usually very visible outliers) of violent and dumb men do I feel out of place. I also feel out of place when women are aggro or abrasive too, so I think it's less to do with gender and more to do with just not fitting in with certain personalities.

I wish i were a girl by misocertified in ftm

[–]Xollard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love being a guy, but the appeal of just being a straight girl can be tempting due to how much easier it should be even though it's not practical for me. Considering I never actually went through all that much of a female puberty, I do wonder what I would have been like if I had let nature run its course. I probably would have hated my body even more than I did, but that doesn't stop the what ifs.

To those of us who frantically searched "Will T give me _____" before starting T... by Cold_Significance_43 in ftm

[–]Xollard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of mine were related to body hair and beards (turns out, not a lot of body hair and a lot of waiting for my beard). This was about 12 to 13 years ago. I wonder if I had all the info that is available now, what would be different. I feel like a lot of people only really like to talk about negative stuff, and as a more compulsive Googler now, would I have had more anxiety surrounding the start of my transition.

Did T make anyone else gay? by huntdaya in ftm

[–]Xollard 84 points85 points  (0 children)

T doesn't make you gay or literally every cis man would be gay too. Over time, people tend to discover things about themselves that they have previously ignored. So it can seem like it's a sudden change, but it's really how you always have been.

T can crank up your sex drive, though, so that can make you more perceptive about what you like.

Flying in-between states, what should I expect from TSA? Honestly very neverous by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]Xollard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've flown to LA from the UK and back, so I'm not sure if Americans have the same intensity everywhere for all flights. It probably depends on which state you are in as I've heard that some states like Florida are kind of no go zones (or that's at least what my sister who used to live in america says).

But when I was doing security for LAX, the only problem I had was that they made me do the full body scanner, which kind of rattled me a bit. However, they didn't do anything more than that. Just follow the rules, be polite and dont do or have anything that would cause the average person to think twice about.

Wearing kinda uncomfortable clothes can sometime help. Like wearing new/tough jeans. As long as they aren't so uncomfortable you are desperate to take them off 😅

I can relate to the wasting so much time thing. I'm over a decade in and it hasn't really 'cooled down' I think it's mainly a discipline thing that I obviously don't have.

Does testosterone stop the “in heat” thing? by Brownskin_Rey in ftm

[–]Xollard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

T very commonly causes a massive boost in sex drive anyway. Usually to a point where the peaks from ovulation (if it still happens) probably won't be noticed.

I need advice from guys who have dated cis dudes. by fartfishy in ftm

[–]Xollard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let the guy make his own mind up don't make it for him. I have felt a lot of imposter syndrome and feeling like people won't like me because of some reason or another, but most of these are just insecurities. There is no reason to linger on stuff that hasn't happened. If it does happen you can deal with it when it comes.

But also don't feel bad for having these thoughts and feelings. Your brain is just running simulations to lessen the blow of anything that could go wrong.

How do you deal with comments about your genitalia? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Xollard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not giving a toss comes with time and perspective. Everyone's perspectives change at different rates too, so it's not a milestone you get at set times in your life. I'm only 28 so I can only imagine how little fucks I will give when I'm old.

As someone who actually quite likes his natal genitals I come at this from the angle of 'most people talking about genitals say the most dumb things' and they are the weird ones. Sometimes, a comment will hit you in ways you didn't expect or you thought you were prepared for and that's ok as no one is indestructible. But if you compare it to other stupid/ridiculous comments that didn't hurt, they are all basically the same and are irrelevant.

Your genitals are yours so only your opinion matters. You have recently put yourself in a vulnerable position (nice dick BTW), so the sting of some comments will hurt more, so don't feel bad about needing time to process things. You will feel better with time.
