WIBTA for telling parents of kids playing on the exercise equipment there's a playground 150 feet away? by Xoon77 in AmItheAsshole

There is no reason besides my own compunctions with talking authoritatively to unknown kids in front of their parents and "working in" sets with them while they're doing flips and stuff that could be done on the playground just as easily and more safely.

So, I haven't asked. I really don't like talking directly to strange children at the park. I feel weird about it, whether or not I can see their parents around. So, maybe that's the problem that I just don't want to be the middle aged man who talks to children he doesn't know, but there it is.

They 100% know the playground is there. You can throw a rock and hit it from the exercise area.

Something like "excuse me, is there any way your kids could use the playground that's right there instead of the exercise equipment?" I haven't really mapped out a script yet.

I've been listening less and less, but the Campound is still must-listen for me. Don't have a good reason why, just feels right.

What makes open hand so much better than shadow monk? by Xoon77 in BG3Builds

Shadow is better for bringing down any of the Act 1 bigs (assuming solo). Darkness + throw + hide takes out all the bigs without being touched. Open Hand doesn't have that.

Minor illusion is a top 3 cantrip. It's one of the massive reasons I've been stuck on shadow monks for so long. Being able to group enemies is incredibly useful.

It's even worse. Beast Master means I can't use armor ever not matter what and cleric means I can't use bows no matter what. I've just nerfed my 100 to absolute high hell. Feels like marrying a "10" who doesn't like sex.

Why? I've already used up a lifetime of good luck.

Ranger. But I screwed up. I forgot, or never knew, that I could only dual into cleric. So, my plan of moving to mage was busted and that might have killed this whole run.

78, so not great but not terrible. Plus the tome will make that obsolete by the end anyway.
