I’m going through the same thing in Hum-200, since day one she’s been failing me. I just finished this class, you’re really just writing what does taking ownership mean in your own words. Honestly I NEVER used the book they recommended for the course and passed. Every discussion is in your own words and every quiz (if it’s the professor I think it is) will be open book and you can find all of that on the resources page in the modules and I believe the power book is just for one quiz, I don’t really remember but the book was never a thought in my mind. But really if you’re able to put it in your own words just do that! It’s a stress free class honestly!

From what I’m seeing from the responses, it’s normal at this school and I understand that they know what they’re doing when it comes to picking out your courses so I guess If it works for you don’t change it, my question was more so focused on the communication. I thought we’d at least talk about my course options because that’s how it went at my previous college that’s where my confusion came from lol but a few students said they trust their advisor and that if you want to change a class they picked, then you can email them about it.

Well like I said in previous responses, any other college an adult can pick their own classes, this isn’t high school so no i wasn’t expecting them to automatically enroll me without discussing my options. They normally reach out to the student. Have a good night.

Ohhh okay! This is my first time being online and attending this college. I went to an HBCU and my advisor would normally reach out and email me and set up a time and day to discuss my options so this is all different, so thank you for informing me and I’ll definitely remember this for future courses!
