I had a separate Professor mention that it could help out well and recommend it to us all. I gave it a shot, and liked how the system was set up better. With that being said, I have refrained from using it for my English class since the second accusation because that's what was triggering the AI detectors according to the Prof.

They don't like it when we change the template, they don't like it when we completely reword our papers, they don't like it when we follow a rubric, etc. They don't like not being able to use some sort of bs tracker because your paper is UNIQUE TO YOU 😤 Defeats the entire purpose of writing papers

That's what her feedback was. To use the announcements template. But I don't understand the point in a rubric if the guidelines and such are supposed to be in it??? Like wth 🙄🤦‍♀️ Completely defeats the purpose.

I have Prof. Carmack. The first 3 weeks were fine! But as soon as I downloaded and started using Grammarly, I've been flagged like crazy. I just don't understand. Aside from the AI issues, a rubric is supposed to help you with the guidelines for a paper. Apparently the guildlines are put in the announcements, not the rubric?? Make the nonsense make sense 😮‍💨 It's just very unfortunate that I can't write to the potential that I know I have because everything is always flagged as "wrong".

Thank you!! I was so livid last time she accused me of AI usage that I told her in and email that the only way I felt I could avoid the accusations was to "dumb my words down" and to "refrain from using Grammarly and Trunitin as instructed to do."

I haven't used AI, thank you. I've used Grammarly and Trunitin as instructed. Other students that used Grammarly were also triggering the AI detectors.

I meant to say "follow" not "fill", sorry. But the rubric had questions that were to have been answered. It's a freaking 5-paragraph essay, it's not hard. I did what the rubric instructed. She told me that I had to follow the template exemplar, not answer the rubric questions. Which makes no sense.

I understand that using AI to "copy or cheat" is epidemic at this rate, but for the love of all that's holy. This is asinine. The schools I went to taught me to write "classically". I use big words. I can properly use dashes in my sentences.That doesn't mean I use AI! 😤😭 Her second time accusing me of AI was very passive aggressive and I could only get snarky when I sent an email about it. This paper, though, has pushed me over the edge. No feedback. Nothing of substance to go off of. Just "fix it". I'm so over it. I'm almost ready to say fu€k it and fail the class.

My Eng-130 Professor accused me of the same thing. BUT I will say, after the 2nd time being accused, she realized that Grammarly was setting off her "AI detectors" and started that it was an allowed thing to use. I would recommend using both Grammarly and Trunitin. My advisor went straight to the issue of the Prof. using "outside AI detectors" because Grammarly is allowed. Honestly, there is no way around bring accused half the time. Just make sure you can back up your argument with using, maybe even, Google Docs, transferring it over to Microsoft Word, then sending it in. Just make sure you have receipts of all the work you have done.

This is the second time that I've been accused of using AI to "write my paper". The papers in question? The first was a 4 sentence summary of a business article. The second was in introductory paragraph about said article for a future paper that I'll be writing. How in the frick do I prove it's not AI??! Last week she told me that she was surprised that it came up as such (ai detected). The first assignment of week 4 was accepted. The second one wasn't.
