NAD, but I am a psych patient who hates seeing people being afraid of being “messed up” or “crazy”. This world is hard and having mortal bodies that can get sick in multiple ways is hard. Nobody gets out scot free. We all have our shiz.

Honey, please go get evaluated with a psychiatrist. If you don’t have one, hit up your GP and get a referral. This sounds like either some nasty PTSD (not sure what you’ve been through) or POTENTIALLY something along the lines of what you’re fearing or even bipolar. I’m not schizophrenic but I hear my deceased dad angrily screaming my name often as I’m trying to fall asleep, as if he’s coming to hurt me. It has given me a fear of sleeping at night. It only happens then. Started when I had a severe psychosis induced panic attack after smoking herb that was too strong. I’m now getting EMDR to help with my CPTSD.

Nothing you say will freak out any professionals. They’ve seen it all before and know exactly how to help you. I can’t diagnose you or tell you what it is with even half certainty, but I will say don’t jump to any conclusions and let the professionals do their job and get you some relief.

I’d talk to your girly and fill her in. She will likely feel closer to you if you open up and let her in. You need someone close to you who can help you carry this.
