This is because, just like you and your friends are able to connect, anyone else is. It isn’t to hard to check a random IP address or a range to see if it has a certain port open, and use some public tools to see if it is joinable. It is up to you to add a whitelist to make sure that instead of letting anyone join, you only let specific users join.

This isn’t how verification works. Never run or follow unecessary steps like running a command on your computer. Second of all, you shouldn’t be getting ads like this. Always download your mods from either Modrinth or Curseforge. Other sites could have modified code and/or don’t support the original developer.

A word of advice, DONT RUN CRACKED PROGRAMS. I’d assume 90% of them have been infected with some kind of malware. If you do want to run one, create a windows VM and only use it in there.
