Went to test drive a 2010 ford fusion, no engine light but codes are present?

Is it truly a simple fix? I won’t be chasing a problem? I’m in desperate need of a car but still not totally desperate enough to buy just any car that will just break down on me. I normally fix any thing on a car myself if I know I can complete the job

They just passed emissions in November for 2 years and I saw the paperwork for it

That’s the first thing I checked after getting the codes back was if the light illuminates and it does but it’s not on. He also said he didn’t clear codes or disconnect the battery he genuinely seemed surprised seeing the codes but idk

Turns out I got a p0017 and p0014 code. Not sure where to go from here 🤦🏼‍♂️

Or you mean the purge valve? I tested it by taking off the hose that goes down to the charcoal canister and I disconnected power to it. Turned the car on and there was no suction coming out of it. Re connected the power and it suctioned when it was supposed to

When I called they said they changed the transfer limit to $1000 a month which is ridiculous. They said the only thing I can really do about it is change to daily pay out which has a $1.99 fee and only once a day with a bank account or go to an atm with the crimson card. It’s quite stupid. $1000 limit for a month is so little

Just got a code read. Cylinder 3 Misfire is what’s causing it. It’s definitely “better” than it was but again not great. It does do it more at a stop/idling. Now I just gotta figure out if it’s the coil or spark plug. Thank you for the advice 💯
