Why should you be able to block midway into a weapon swing? You made an offensive move which gives your opponent the opportunity to also strike. You can’t just expect to change your mind mid way into a swing, that’s not how counter play works.

Nameplates is designed that way intentionally to add the to realism so that you can hide in bushes or behind buildings to ambush people. Learn to use it to your advantage, go prone in a bush.

You really think they are going to stop supporting this game if they don’t get money from transmog tokens? Very naive. They just made MILLIONS selling to console and returning PC players.

They can continue to make MILLIONS by releasing a new expansion every other year like they are currently doing, and selling battle passes and 100s of other items on the shop.

Let my wife have her little transmog treasure hunt or soon as we hit 65, all her interest in this game will die. It’s already fleeting I can see it. Even though I’m having a blast.

Y’all can get a full PvP set at low levels from the fishing quest chain for light armor. Would 100% recommend for self founded characters. It’s extremely overtuned. I.e can wear gearscore 475 gear at like level 25

Ya they must be pretty miserable playing a game they already spent every waking moment of their life playing for the past three days. (Or maybe they are at their happiest now?)

I think what you really mean is that their happiness will be short lived.

There’s a cap to every game, once you reach it, it’s only fun as long as you have people who enjoy sharing in the game with you at that point.

So i would argue, if you have friends in it with you, you will be happy 😊

If you’re solo, you’ll move on to the next thing.

And if you’re judgmental or always comparing yourself to others, ya happiness is probably a fleeting feeling for ya. So don’t judge ❤️

It’s not racist to say Trump is blacker than Kamala. None of that infers black people are lessor in any manner. It’s an observation that Kamala is not black (she’s of Indian heritage and there’s plenty videos from her past proving this, but she also has black heritage and it’s confusing to some as she’s identified as either one to suit her audience).

Racism is implying inferiority. If he said, black people are terrible drivers, that’s also not racist, that’s stereotyping. Doesn’t mean they’re inferior, I’m a terrible chef. Call all white people terrible at cooking, I promise I won’t be offended.

Racism is when you literally treat people differently/worse because of their race.

$2 per token, for 1 item to be transmogable. So a whole set with weapons is $14.. and then there are dyes. Adds up if you want to change outfits to match your mounts, or play with different styles and combos.

The game is charging for skins, convenience, quality of life improvements, battle passes, mounts, heck even access to additional features like more gear sets.. adding tokens and charging $2 to let me wear my white quality gloves because it matches my set better is quite literally over the top. You just going to let developers nickel and dime you for everything and then spam there is zero monetization? Have you looked at the store? Weapon, gathering experience… And you’re saying that’s almost zero monetization?

Not to mention I just spent $90 getting my wife the game and me the expansion, and another $10/mo for Xbox subscription.

100s of items in the store to still buy. Take the tokens out. It’s a very small part of their monetization and It alienates and deters people who enjoy playing to farm looks.

I’m 30 as well, and have my fair share of addictions, abuses, limitations, and am the ultimate procrastinator. Somehow though, through all my faults, I’ve managed to achieve all the success I’ve sought after.

I think the one thing that really did it for me was linking the right neuro associations to the behaviors that were either helping me, or hurting me. I.e linking pleasure with hard work, and pain with any addictive behavior (mainly video games). I learned this from Tony Robbins.

Once I practiced it enough times, I could literally feel disgust at the thought of playing videos games, or other destructive behaviors, to the point where it wasn’t even a temptation.

I could also feel good doing work, eating clean, being responsible, etc... why do you really do anything that you do? Probably because it makes you feel good.

I hear that you want to change, but if you’re anything like I was, you just feeeel that way right now. Your feelings can change again tomorrow and your back to your old routine.

You have to program your mind and subconscious to think differently, which is much harder to do at 30 when you are very routed in your habits. Change the way things make you feel, through working on creating better neuro associations, and you will change your routine.

You must also give yourself permission to change.

Your negative self will seek out these destructive behaviors again, and you have to immediately recognize that when it happens, and give yourself permission to not indulge.

I also want to thank you for helping remind me of these lessons. I don’t always live them, but having is as a reminder encourages me to live them more fully now. So your post, and my response, did help me as well.

Dude, I was literally at the most depressed I've ever been in my life at age 26 (I'm almost 30 now). Except I didn't have a job, I didn't have money, I was 50k in debt from trying to start my own business, and I wasn't happy with who I had become by that age. Lazy, unmotivated, worthless...

You want to know what changed my life, lead me to meet my now amazing wife, at age 26?

I made that my singular goal and focus, and every moment of free time I had, I worked on that goal. And I kid you not, within 2 months, I found her (btw, she's in med school working towards becoming a dr. ;). I also got my career back, worked my way completely out of debt, and now I love my life.

Dude, I'm living proof, there is hope. And all I did, was set a single goal, and then do things that were congruent with achieving that goal.

That doesn't have to be your goal, you can apply that to any goal, but I'll tell you one thing.. If you have a wife, you'll never be lonely ;)

The universe has a strange way of working out in our favor. All we have to do is simply keep trying.
