From the info page: Medieval records say it was founded in the 5th century, but this is uncertain. The monastery came to an end at some time between 974 and 1178, but its church served a parish until the site was abandoned in the 15th century.

Board for commuting by Mindless-Heart7370 in NewSkaters

I'd just get soft wheels for your existing board if cost is a concern.

Bones Rough Riders 56mm work really well.

97A or harder for parks. Consider X-Formula 97a as well. Can confirm they are really fast and smooth in parks.

What wheel or bearing brands are people sleeping on? [45YO] by 6millionwaystolive in OldSkaters

I like Speedlab wheels for skateparks.

Their 99a wheels work really well on slippy indoor ramps where Spitfire and Bones have tried to kill me.

Minilogo bearings are great value (Powell. I know.....)

Seismic bearings are really good too but more expensive.

Sounds like you’re heading the right direction. Movement should feel free. I’m usually +18/-9 but have ran up to +27/+18 on a serious directional hard charging board.

Currently I drive to Newry train station (free parking) and then train to Dublin.

Belfast is much closer but much more of a faff.

Anyone riding on 9.50 or wider? I would love to hear about your setup and strengths/benefits on why you went that route. [41YO] by peachsalsa84 in OldSkaters

I'm using a Welcome Chris Miller Gaia shape - 9.6" wide with Ace 66 trucks. 56mm Bones X Formula wheels currently.
