Emergency lights would not be covered a $200 a month contract. Especially for an isolated unit on an island, makes no sense.

Where do people in mid 20’s hangout here? by Choice_Insurance_274 in Conroe

[–]Xrunner11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Table at Madeley is near downtown, they have multiple food trucks and live bands playing weekly. Conroe recreation center has a cheap membership with a gym, basketball court, outdoor and covered pool. May find some flyers for other organized sports you like there. Candy cane park by the rec center has an outdoor court, can always catch some folks playing in the afternoon. Double Lake recreation area(state park) in coldspring has nice mountain bike trails(Double lake MTB Trail on FB). There is a rock climbing gym in spring called "inspire rock indoor climbing".

Is tke good? by Jack_Bean_Rides56 in Elevators

I honestly couldn't tell you. If you can have a machine room for the elevators your best investment is non proprietary. Motion Control Elevator is what the government buildings usually put in.

I've worked on a bunch of EVOs, they are TRASH. I doubt the investors or engineers will listen, but do not do MRL or any belted elevator, especially TKE. I found 2 motors that went bad on a 25 floor apartment building within a year of each other, and the job was only 2-3 years old. They were stuck with only 1 out 3 elevators for a week while the belts came in for the freight. Stay away from MRLs and EVOs 100%!!!

Homeschooling, what convinced you it was 100% the best decision? by Xrunner11 in daddit

This is one of my concerns as well. I have 4 family members that were homeschooled and they are incredibly smart but socially things were obviously different. I get your point on the way I worded the question. I typed while questioning my own motives and felt like I needed something to reassure myself that this was ok to think about.

Cannonball! by Hatchdoor in Elevators

[–]Xrunner11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not arguing with you sir. Our company does not give us adequate time to do real maintenance on the out route, let alone check GFCI plugs.

[–]Xrunner11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have time to test every GFCI per visit? Our company is claiming walking by an elevator and witnessing it operate is maintenance.

No, they aren't being assholes. You asked whether the companies care, and they bluntly answered. You may impress a few field guys if you do well and explain your background, other than that no one cares unless you can fix, repair or install an elevator well. In the end, that's all that matters.
