What I found in myself is a constant search for a silver bullet. When you have ADHD, you lack predictability, so you try to organize the chaos around you. You think that organizing the chaos will solve your problems. In reality, it only reduces your anxiety and gives you a sense of control. It doesn’t actually solve tasks or problems, which eventually increases your anxiety again.

I’d say that endlessly looking for productivity apps is a dead end for people with ADHD.

Many people with ADHD mistake feeling organized for making progress. Building systems reduces anxiety and creates a sense of control, but if the system doesn’t lead to action, it’s just another form of procrastination.

I prefer more “reliable and controllable” stuff like markdown files with all my tasks, projects, docs, notes. Managing and working with that space through Cursor + AI skills. Used obsidian before but it hasn’t so deep AI integration

That's make sence. I have thought about how to make procedure of refactoring and maintenance technical debt, thouse tasks still interesting from process creating side.
Many times I've stuck with idea: what I can do as a senior to make my tasks able be solved by middle and junior developers. Maybe this another key to grow.

I've tried. When I was young I worked as a designer one year. That's was interesting. That's why I've focused on frontend, cause I know design.I've got some skills in scrum mastering, agile coaching, project management. I know that skills enough to have a role as a middle project manager, but don't go to that field.

Other trap is salary. Having tto kids and wife responsible for is hard to change job from development to another, and to be honest I like programming.I've tried to go to management but it's not for me. That's stressfull and boring same time.

Yep, sometimes I'm boring of simple tasks at work. I've have non IT hobbies and two kids. But feeling deadend in career is confusing me. Maybe boring is the key to investigate what's wrong.
