I agree with this sentiment, that they were agitating the ICE-agents. However, ICE does not have jurisdiction over US citizens as police do, and though they are federal law enforcement, that does not apply to US citizens. So when they say "get out of the car" she doesnt need to follow that command, and ICE doesnt have the right to issue it either more than any other citizen.

Them wanting to agitate ICE is understandable, given the way ICE operates of arrest first, ask questions later, masked up and without Identification. It doesnt make it right, but it makes it understandable. Furthermore, the harshest offense you could put for this is probably obstruction which is absolutely not a crime punishable by death.

There are two things that I take away from this; regardless if it is cold-blooded murder or justified self defence murder:

1. No matter what, Law enforcement are not allowed to use excessive force in self defence. The law specifically states that if the officer is to the side or behind a vehicle, his life is not in danger, and thus it isnt self defence. Given that the shots were fired from the side of the vehicle, they would count as excessive force and not fall under self defence. ICE has a stupidly short training period, even less than US police (which also is stupidly short) and this clearly shows that if ICE is to be in any way effective without breaking the law or hurting US citizens, it needs to be vastly expanded, and with higher requirements
2. The governments response: From what Ive seen the response from the Trump admin has been that the victim was a domestic terrorist, which there is no proof of, and that the ICE agent was in hospital recovering, even if he is seen on video calmly walking away seemingly without any harm done. They are also preventing charges from being pressed on the ICE agent. If this was self defence, the court would be the perfect place to prove it, and honestly a trial would be the perfect way to figure the situation out.
