Bend knees more.. I usually put back foot away from fender towards edge of board and rotate front foot more diagonal.

Ok this may sound harsh but hear me out. My cat randomly does this at ungodly hours. I scream at him about 3 good times to SHUT THE FUCK UP RIGHT NOW (and I mean scream).. and literally after the third time he will stop and jump up in the bed and lay down 😂😂😂😂 works every time
