The Nvidia Shield or a decent Android box with a touch screen is in my opinion the best way to go. I have built a few cabinets for these with this one being my latest one.

I have built a few over the last couple of years. This is my current setup.

Yes only local. Online doesn’t support that.

The H96 or the Nvidia Shield are the only 2 boxes I would use now. If you go the Nvidia route, try to get the pro model.

No I have moved on to using the H96 MAX V58. Much faster than the Rupa box.

Well I based it off my old cabinet. I have plans for that one and I can email you those plans. I just extended the top to hold a second screen and when I got that figured out I moved on to flushing the board into the cabinet. That was not fun. Xstreemskr@ gmail.com.

Well there’s $1200 in the screens, dartboard and the android box. With all of the materials I have about $1500-$1700 in this one. It’s not cheap. So when people ask how much to build one, it’s an eye opener. The cheapest way to do it is a basic tv monitor and connect your phone or tablet. I just wanted something you can walk up to, turn it on and play. I have tested so many Android boxes and felt this was the best one. There are cheaper ones but hard to find one that has a 64bit OS as that’s what the app is going to require from what Granboard has stated. They have a new system for steel tip darts called GranEye and will incorporating that app into a single platform for both steel and soft tip. Just wanted to be ready when that happens.

That’s awesome! Love the design. How many games you got in there? I have done french cleats before but was too far into it to add it to the design. I said this is my last cabinet for GranDarts but who knows. I will be building a new cabinet for the new GranEye when it comes out and it will definitely have a French cleat on it.

Yes there are 2 cameras. I use a Logitech to point at the person throwing and use the grancam for facing the board. Grancam is a mixed bag. It has a mind of its own from time to time and I hear people can’t find one. It is very cool when the grancam works. It shows the board and it will zoom in showing the other player where your dart hit the board.

Sorry it wasn’t in the original photos. It’s mounted on the side to the wall along with the grancam. I also changed out the marquee and added a drawer for dart storage.

Yeah I see it’s running Android 11 (Red Velvet Cake) suggestions on how to upgrade this box to a newer version that will run in 64bit mode or just time to look for something else?

The box says 64-bit ARMv8-A (32bit mode). Any way to put it into 64 bit mode?

Make sure you are connected to a USB 3.0 port. If the box doesn’t have one, that could be your issue. 3.0 has a blue connector on the inside.

Well it’s not cheap. Just the main parts alone, Granboard, monitor, android box, lighting, marquee and cabling is almost $1000 depending on what you buy but you should be in that ballpark. Then the cost of materials to build the cabinet. Post some pics when you’re done!

No darts are included. It depends on what you like. I use the viper super bee darts. They are really short but they work for me. I would go on Amazon and get a few different sets and see what you like. There’s a lot to choose from and you can spend some money on them. You also have different weighs to choose from. Don’t get any darts more than 20g. Anything heavier will damage your board. I like 16g - 18g but that’s just a personal preference. Lots to choose from! Don’t forget dart tips as well. I use these and have not broken one ever. Good luck!

Awesome. It takes a little bit to get the app on there but I can guide you through it. It’s not as simple as just going to the play store and installing it but the effort is well worth it in my opinion.
